Truck sat at airport parking all week so I gave it a quick wash. Also removed the wood trim. Like the plain look so much better. The wood trim was definitely in bad shape. Came off pretty easy too.
Oh and earlier someone was asking about the center cup holder insert that I removed. See pic below of that ungainly device.
Used the wife's hair drier and just picked a corner on one of the pieces and started pulling. I used a non marking interior tool on almost all the trim pieces to get them started. I also used some goo-gone and elbow grease to clean everything up. All in all the majority of the adhesive came off when the trim piece was removed.
Door pieces - little tricky in that they curve down on the edges so you can't really start your prying at the edge. I warmed the piece up and started from one of the window switches and pushed outward. Once I worked my tool under the edge it was easy to then work all the way around and get them off.
Front side air vents - easiest ones of all. just pulled them off
Center stack air vents - the vents will actually pull straight out so don't be surprised by that and be a little careful.
Radio trim - came right off, no issues
Center console (including ash tray) - again, came right off, no issues there
Center cup holder door - This is the piece that I was most careful with AND the hardest to get off. I know this stupid cup holder is like a $300 part if broken. I started at an edge and was able to lift enough to eventually pull it off. Just take your time here
like to get one to fit my 2000 landcruiser were did you get it ?
