Drove it home 1800 miles from Utah to Raleigh NC after having it out west for some seriously epic trips this summer:

- 3 week family trip around the Great circle featuring:
Ouray, Four Corners, Valley of the Gods, Capitol Reef, Bullfrog Road, Ut-12 corridor, Bryce Canyon NP, North Rim Grand Canyon NP, Monument Valley, Moab, Arches NP

- 100s in the Hills

- CruiserFest with lead-in expedition from Moab to Tooele.

What great times. Tons of smiles per gallon!

Took the roof rack off, the rear ladder off, took it to the carwash and got three years of grime cleaned off, installed the spare tire carrier I bought for my rack in South Africa, put everything back on, relocated the spare, took a picture...

Removed the stock rack and installed a Gamiviti. Met Tim inn Denver on my way back from Colorado....I really should say that Tim installed the rack, not me. Tim was great to work with, going out of his way to work with our schedule.

As always...nice rack!

Had steering wheel recovered - craft customs in Texas.

1) Mobil 1 oil change
2) tire rotation
3) finally fixed my bloody broken key (only one I had) that I have been tempting fate for literally 6 months with. Multiple times I borked the blade whilst "mall cruising"...err grocery shopping. Last week I temporarily lost the transponder part of the equation to hilarious effect which finally helped to dislodge my head from my posterior.

Replaced Starter, had used car inspection performed: transfer case, rear diff and front diff fluid dirty need to replace, hole in muffler - will be replaced soon, brakes acceptable, serpentine belt and timing belt need to be replaced on next visit, air induction system dirty. All else good!

The installation of my FR Slimline II Half Rack required the following steps:
1.) Review parts and the very sketchy directions (for 2.2M rack which is the wrong size)
2.) Assemble rack in the driveway, this is the easy part
3.) Entice very handy neighbor with bourbon
4.) Review instructions again, discard and move on
5.) Send wife to bed
6.) Install new roof tracks after ripping out OEM
7.) Refill cups
8.) Grab Petzl headlamps
9.) Cuss the instructions, consider using to light next campfire
10.) Get creative and attach rack to new tracks with 4 of 6 feet provided

I am so sorry you received your rack with our very old and obsolete instructions by mistake. It looks like you got the rack installed already but please feel free to contact us anytime in the future so we can make sure something like this doesn't happen again.

New 275/70/18 BFG ATs and a TJM T13 installed over the weekend. Still working on the indicator and fog light wiring but I have a plan.

Planning a little torsion bar crank an an alignment this week, followed by cb antenna mount and wiring.

Ok, first post.
2 weeks ago fixed small coolant leak. Little rubber hoses on bypass tube were perished.

This weekend front shocks and sway bar links. Handles so much better.

Changed the fuel filter.

Cleaned the throttle body and MAF sensor, and reset the ECU.

Changed the oil and filter. Mobil1 5W30 with the larger Purolator PureOne PL20195 (equivalent to the Mobil1 M1-209).

Had a dick of a time getting the old filter off as most of my tools are at my mother's house and the last time it was changed, the dealership did it and cranked her down hard! Ended up jamming a screwdriver through the side and finally got it off.

Got the 285 75 16 Duratracs on. It is becoming less 's old cruiser and more mine slowly but surely.
