Had a Magnaflow muffler put on, went with 18". Did this last weekend leaving the resonator on. It was ok but needed more. Took it back today and got rid of that. Sounds great, like a V8 should.

Heater hose tee's -- One cracked and made quite a steamy mess as it dripped on the exhaust pipes below. Luckily I was able to let it cool off, fill it up, and limp home with the help of some duct tape around the tee. It was a crumbling mess when I removed what was left of the tee pipe. I replaced the cracked one to get me hunting tomorrow, but will replace the other and the hoses later this weekend.

265k+ miles and counting. When I first saw the steam coming out of the sides of the hood and my engine temp was still normal, I had brief visions of a fuel leak and an engine fire that would finish me off, but when I got out and smelled anti-freeze, I knew it was a coolant problem. $7 later (one tee) and this truck is still making tracks in the dirt.:steer:
 
Did you use PlastiDip or something else? Looks good.

I removed it, sanded it down, primed it with 2 coats of industrial primer for plastic, then spray painted it with 4 coats of gloss black..

Pulled the timing cover last night to take a look at the belt. Looks like it had never been changed ! @ 147,000 miles it is way over due! So I went to a local import parts store and got all factory toyota parts. Got the belt, water pump, tensioner and all bearings for $233. Toyota wanted almost $700 for the exact same parts. It only took about 4 hours to do, ended up changing the spark plugs and doing the sea foam treatment, also greased the driveline slip yolks. She runs and drives smooth now!

Changed the master cylinder, brake pads, and the spark plugs. Now the tires lock up when braking hard, which is a good sign. I didn't have that before. I also had the transmission fluids changed.
 
Got my truck back today with the new leather upholstery done, very happy no more cracked seats, will install cargo barrier brackets tomorrow, and will have front tbs re-indexed, have ARB drawers and roof rack installed next week , and then the next week get brake pads changed, replace hood support pistons and have headlights adjusted. After that all I plan on doing is drive it
 
Did the 90k full service tbelt wpump idlers pulleys etc. Took about 9 hrs Bled the AHC as well. Drives great!
 
The installation of my FR Slimline II Half Rack required the following steps:
1.) Review parts and the very sketchy directions (for 2.2M rack which is the wrong size)
2.) Assemble rack in the driveway, this is the easy part
3.) Entice very handy neighbor with bourbon
4.) Review instructions again, discard and move on
5.) Send wife to bed
6.) Install new roof tracks after ripping out OEM
7.) Refill cups
8.) Grab Petzl headlamps
9.) Cuss the instructions, consider using to light next campfire
10.) Get creative and attach rack to new tracks with 4 of 6 feet provided

I can grab some better photos if anyone is interested. I still have some adjusting and tightening to do.
 
Gold emblems gone, and replaced with chrome. 2003+ nameplate added to lift gate. running boards removed. rust repair on rocker panels (from running boards). front mud flaps installed. random rock chips repaired. buff job and waxed. change pocket added to center console.

ordered new u-joints, weathertech mats, and marathon seat covers.
 
Lou, if it makes you feel better, I installed my rack in the dark. Partly due to heat, but also because I realized the instructions were sketchy at best. I love the FrontRunner product. But those instructions absolutely blew. I made two good decisions:

1) disregarded the steps and simply assemble the 'tray' of the rack as soon as possible. leaving it on soft grass while I figured out the mounting of the rack to the vehicle worked well. It allowed me time to tighten, modify, and correct any potential mistakes. As you probably learned.
2) sliding the rack up onto the vehicle using a blanket and cardboard. Emphasis on both.

It also helped that I had really stripped the factory rack and cleaned out the track where the rubber lining slid in.

Just know that you won't get the mounting screws right the first time and you'll likely go back and forth with it for a week or two until the rack is centered and the bolts are in the right place.

I might also suggest some kind of protectant on the front due to bugs..
