Changed the rear springs to heavies, waiting for some parts for the torsion bar adjusters, had the truck polished and the carpet shampooed, taking it in next week to have the seats redone
It is nice to have both of my Japanese "Monster" cars so shiny

Nice GT-R's!

I did THIS to my 100 this week:

It took all 5 of these guys together to get me out. I was trying to get around the front of the Big Red Dodge who was stuck so I could try to yank him out. Never made it.

Carnage as a result:

First one is when a shackle busted and flew back at 50 MPH, it's not just the trim that's mashed, it bent the heck out of the metal behind the trim on the bottom of the tailgate. I was feeling lucky that it didn't take out the rear window until I ran into a guy in a Z71, who had a shackle snap back and split open his rear diff cover. (at the bottom) I'll take this any day.

Oh yeah, I also wiped out my outer CV boot when it twisted on the cv-joint due to the silt restricting it's movement while stuck. Only 5k miles on a new OEM shaft too. Bitter.

One last shot.

Hawk HPS pads, stainless steel lines and replaced a passenger side mirror.

Lucky that is all you broke with that flying shackle

What was the rating of the shackle?
I am using 4.75T.

Re-aligned the bullbar after our trip last week.
Also checked why the front parking lights in the bullbar didn't work.
Wow, what a cheap light ARB was selling as part of the bar.
Both globes are blown, water in the housing, no seal, corroded.
Time for LEDs.

Oh dear God....please tell me you didn't let that black Jeep pull you out.

Notice the black heap had to be shackled to a blazer. I was up to underside of body in mud. Frame and suspension buried. I was in no position to be choosy. I say the FJ did it!

Cappy, that was a good stuck! Glad the damage was constrained to just the vehicles! You might want to have spare pinion/t-case seals in your parts kit ;).
