Ordered PFran LED package including reverse bulbs and washed it!

Just installed PFran interior LEDs as well as the reverse lights!

I couldn't be happier with how it turned out!

Finally got the Kenwood TM-D710A installed and talking to my Lowrance Baja 540C. Still have numerous features of this set-up to learn including packet texting, e-mail via Echolink, etc. But APRS is so nice to have now.

A big thank you to my good friend TrickyT for assisting with the NMEA 0183/serial stuff!

What have I done to my 100 series you ask? I'm asking myself the same question...

Time to add a snow plow to yours.

Jemsec, Do you have snow in B'ham? I am in Knoxville, TN and there is about an inch or so. As for what I did this week, my older brother and I swapped out an O2 Sensor.
Lexus wanted $500 so it definitely was a worthwhile task.

Any details on where you installed the head unit? Getting ready to tackle the D710 install myself

^ I'll snap some photos later today...but I had the Icom 208H face mounted on a RAM mount on the rear side of the map light assembly...just re-used for the 710.

Nice! APRS is great if other rigs around you also have the capability, but if no digi repeaters are in range then it's dead. I've used DPRS (Icoms D-Star version of APRS) in Death Valley and have had little success.

No snow here but cold as he!!. About 18 now. I don't think I could stand the northern winters.
Know where to get a snow plow for a 100?

APRS works mobile to mobile.

Can someone clue in the knuckleheads what APRS stands for please?!

The only thing I'll probably change/add is another RAM extension and ball-to-ball adapter to move the 710 face to the right of the mirror for a little better view while driving...for off-road trips. Otherwise it stays tucked up to the sun roof when not in use...or as is or close for the time being when in use...

Also added another in-headliner speaker (PS not shown) so both band sides are left & right separated.

That's the exact spot I was thinking. Wasn't planning the ram mount, though that's interesting. Do you think if it was flush against that bulkhead area that the screen would be hard to see? I'm not planning to do a whole lot of looking at it, as the left side stays either on our club network, scan list, 146.52 or 146.46 most of the time. Right side stays on APRS.

The other area I was thinking was a modified ashtray mount. But I don't particularly like looking down...

I'm planning to put the body in the "first aid" compartment on the PS. Is that where you went?
