I bought my 2001 LC on April.

So far I have done:
Bilstein shocks
MT sliders
Timing belt, idlers, tensioner, camshaft seals, cranksshaft seal, spark plugs, Water pump
DT headers and O2 sensors
Sway bar bushings front and rear
Mobil1 ATF drain and refill

Will be doing:
Door actuators and speakers
all fulids change

Changed to a set of 4 HIRs.

Pulled the stock head unit, amp and speakers, replaced with Alpine 9000 series with Ipod integration, Rockford Fosgate components up front and coaxials in the rear, and installed a Kicker 10" amplified subwoofer. The stock systems suck, this one doesnt. At first tried to wire through existing amp, did not sound good at all, so pulled amp. If you havent upgraded the stereo, think about it. Makes a world of difference.

^ KEV is it all enclosed in factory locations? no sub box sitting in cargo area. My PPO hacked it up and has a sub box and huge amp sitting in the cargo area and 3 speakes that work......im not far behind you!

Think I killed the rear diff actuator this weekend... does that count?

^ absolutely. bad news, good news, pics of carnage, pretty trails...it's whatever you did this week in your 100 (errr that's not gonna get deleted by a mod)

Good news is you can take apart and probably bring it back to life....or did you smash on rock like I have done? mine is jb welded together....

Everything is hidden in the factory compartments, except for the sub. It is sitting in the cargo area, but it is not very big, and the amp is built in. Very easey to take out of if I need the extra space, which I wont.

I recently purchased the Bluberry Bumper from Slee and upgraded to 295/75/16 BFG AT KO. I've listed my 285s in the Classifieds.

I drove my daughter to gymnastics practice yesterday. It was pretty cool.

I like where your head's at Far! :)

I hope so, I think it's tired, definitely not smashed. Its a 195kmi truck that endured it's first ownership in Michigan before 1 PO in Colorado at least before I got it. Was crossing some deep water this past weekend.

On the bright side I took a buddy, 3 kids under 10, and my wife out in our two Toyotas so this was a small price to pay for the fun and smiles. (I guess we actually had double carnage this weekend with the rocker dent on the Tacoma http://youtu.be/WqBDu-vyR6U ) Will be DD'ing to some bars for the weekend to celebrate another buds b-day, should not require lockers unless things get really out of hand so I can hit that actuator another day.

Good to hear...plenty of good writeups on how to renew the locker actuator....mostly in the 80 forum.

Washed and waxed it. I'd soaked all the small interior parts in Superclean. So tidy I finally reassembled the interior and gave the interior it's first detailing since the summer wheeling season began. Superclean is amazing. Seems to even clean leather of you're careful.

It still clunks like crazy and is missing the rear sway bar and parking brake, but at least it's clean enough to take the wife out for wife appreciation day (heads up thats today).

I wish I took pics of my 100 when I bought it, it was so gross that I was weirded out the 4 hr drive home. I soaked every plastic part and seat belts in a 30 gal tub with a string mixture for days. They all came out as new, but I did replace every retainer clip I came across.

Never tried it, but its sodium metasilicate based, which is the business for degreasing. Be careful with aluminum parts - the sodium metasilicate will eat them up. I've got a pic of a local guy's Porsche Al cylinder head that was soaked overnight in a bucket of the stuff. When he came to flip it over the soaked end had lost around 1mm all round. Doh!

Here's a clunk for ya. Yes that's the driver side engine mount that should be one piece.

Yikes. I've only used it on plastic pieces. Some overspray got on the leather today and seemed to clean it real well. So I put some on a damp rag and wiped down the seats before rinsing them and reconditioning.

This was a busy weekend for me.. i have to say my wife is rather choked at me spending so much time on the cruiser.. i worked mostly every evening this week, plus all day saturday and half of sunday.. still a couple things to do.. here is the list:

Dual Battery install

this took some time as i bought a bunch of 2 guage welding cable and built all my own cables, crimping and heat shrinking all positive and ground cables between the two new batteries.. i replaced all the ground wires as well as an upgraded ground from factory thin guage (relatively speaking). I had my wife wire loom everything - and i mean everything - from winch cables to grounds, to battery cables, accessories etc. while she was doing that i installed the slee second battery tray and wired in the selonoid under the 'small ledge' off the slee tray, plus mounted the battery control unit into the cab. I added new milspec battery clamps, cleaned and replaced all wiring end clamps as neccessary and put new new rubber covers on them.

T maxx unit works great, links manually as necessary. aux battery is optima yellow top, which now carries all stereo, aux lights, winch, etc..

Blue Sea 12 circult fuse box

added a main line coming from the aux battery, on a 100 amp switch which i located in the side of the airbox (dirty side). .i put a high temp gasket around it to seal it as best i can, although its not a big deal..

The fuse box runs power to my interior led's that are installed on the rear hatch for lighting up a working surface, plus the aux rear reverse lights. that leaves me with 10 other spots that i will eventually fill rather quickly.

Stereo rewiring
i had blown one of my amps in the truck and ordered a new on to fit a custom enclosure i made, although the one i received in the mail was the wrong one (much larger).. i had to redo all the wiring, plus the enclosure to make it all fit properly, plus custom carpeting to match interior.

Slee Diff drop

this was a breeze aside from a few rusty bolts.

front and rear sway Bar rebuild

this was a pain in the ass - i ordered all the parts from Lowe Toyota, which came in good timing, however, i neglected to order the sway bar links, thinking i could reuse them.. i snapped them in half trying to loosen them so i am ordered through local toyota for now.. all the other hardware is put in, just waiting for the links.. i snapped a couple bolts that held in the cushion bracket, these i had to use the grinder to cut out and then drill and retap.. didn't enjoy that.

Next up is a new alternator.. yipeee!
