Had some downtime with my cruiser yesterday and finally managed to get the rusty oxygen sensor bolts loose.. i had left this for 3 months and finally got around to doing it. the nuts that screw the sensor onto the bolts on the exhaust were rusted almost through to the bolt itself.. i put new stainless steel nuts on the new o2 sensors. unplugged battery for a half and hour and voila.. i doubt it will help my mileage any, but i'm sure the old ones were beyond the tolerances. the truck wasn't throwing a code, i just thought it was about time..

I also picked up new plugs for the cruiser - the only ones i could find at the retail automotive store were bosch platinum 4.. i had tried the e3 plugs last year and they were crap.. the truck ran horribly.. i put the old plugs back in. looks like the platinum 4's work well. no complaints yet.

I also reorganized my drawer contents.. was looking for pencil bags to separate my tools up but instead picked up square rubber pencil cases..

next up will be to change the sway bar mounts and bushings. i stopped by my local toyota dealer in canada and they quoted 150 bucks just for the front!! highway robbery.. i walked out saying i could pick up everything out of the u.s. for about 50 bucks, including the rear..

i spoke with onur at american toyota and he indicated they couldn't ship to canada.. anybody else have any suggestions for getting this parts cheaply IN canada or at least delivered to the toronto region from the u.s. ?

I ship to Canada. Free shipping is out of the equation of course. You can shoot me an email and I'll get back to you tomorrow when I'm in the office.

I just finished completing an order with Sam and Lowe Toyota for front and rear sway bar bushings, shipped to canada. He put this together last night and had it all ready to ship by the time i called him with my credit card info.. Great responsiveness - thanks Sam.

as for the other things ordered - just ordered a dual battery kit and slee second battery tray and hi lift jack mount for my arb fro Slee. I think i've got a few things to build over the next couple weeks as they arrive.

Going to change the tail light bulbs before I get pulled over for a fix it ticket. Yep, pretty exciting stuff!

Grab a pair of PFran's Cree LED reverse lights. They are flat out awesome.

I got in my Iron man Suspension from Metal Tech. unfortunately I had a busted Shock. (pic shows soaked box) Eli at Iron Man could NOT have been nicer, more helpful, or on top of it.

New shocks should be here today so I can install tomorrow. (thanks to Gunney for his thread....I might be able to tackle this one myself......https://forum.ih8mud.com/100-series...-build-repair-thread-lc100-xvr-pic-heavy.html)

I've read nothing but good things about Iron man products on the 80 series. I'm the first in my club to run IM on a 100, really looking forward to seeing how it rides. I've got 200k on the stock suspension:eek:

Can't say enough nice things about Eli and Iron Man.

New Goodyear wrangler 305/70R16 MT/R

Today I had some new rubbers installed (Goodyear wrangler 305/70R16 MT/R) as one of my my BFG's A/T got sliced up on a rock on my street, another tire was on the way out.

The grip performance in the mud and rocks are night and day compaird to the previous BFG's

Report: No rubbing (cranked up the front) any place.

Is that in stock suspension? Looks good!

Thanks, The suspention is stock, the front T bars are cranked out. to level out.

Trying to get rid of the red-neck white lettering, the instructions on the side wall said that this side had to be to the out. It looks the tread is diffrent from the other way around.

I can not wait to get them aired down to go driving today.

Installed a golight on top of the cruiser today. I paid about $350 for the LED version with both wireless remote and dash mount, which is pretty good if you consider two rigid duallies have half the brightness and can't be moved by control for $200. To top it off these are marine grade. The best part is that it draws half as much power as the turn signal. Should be a fun mod for the night rides and pissing people off who cut me off in traffic.

Finally finished my Tmax install !! this includes blue sea fuse box to the back and two blue sea locking outlets all buttoned up and working as planned. It was nice the last camping trip I went on I slept in the back of the hundy with a USB powered fan blowing nice cool air on me all night. Now all I need is to get my sleeping area figured out for those solo trips.

Still waiting for 2nd. Battery tray, front and rear sway rebuild kit but did get the dual battery system in the mail. Amazon sent it rush in 3 days from the u.s. just building all the custom wires, using 2 GA. I threw in an Arb HO compressor for on board air and eventually lockers. Slee diff drop lot also on order. Yippee!

Now to save up for rear bumper to balance out the truck and start process of moving to 35's. After a wheeling trip this weekend, I see a big advantage

Got my 35s mounted yesterday! Truck still runs like a dream. Had to trim the fender liner at the pinch welds, and I need to heat/bend the plastic box under the driver's side headlights (getting a little rub there at full compression with the wheel turned)

Also picked up a 20lb co2 tank on craigslist for my oba system.

Sent from my Thunderbonner using IH8MUD

Have you got photos? What have you done to prep for 35's?

Took one pic at the gas station last night after I mounted them. I have OME 863s in the rear, and OME tb's up front, cranked to match a 1inch rake. No body lift. The tires even clear my upper control arm ball joint by about 3/4 to 1 inch, but I have a set of 1 1/4 inch spacers on the way for the front.

As someone who recently installed 35's and did plenty of searches here on MUD (there are dozens of threads about installing 35's).

  • Trim fender skirt and beat down pinch weld far as it will go
  • Install 1/2" body lift
  • Crank T-bars to max amount while still maintaining 60mm of droop
  • Install 1" wheel spacers all around

Going 35's is not cheap, in addition to the tire themselves. However they are very rewarding. I'm just worried about future wear and tear particularly the steering rack.

Pinch weld after trim and hammer time, but before sand and paint.

Installed cabin filters and grounded my Slee swing out with a ground strap for better HF RF antenna performance.

Waxed the hundy today. Got rid of all the pin stripes with a cheap polishing wheel from harbor freight.

I rolled 200k going home from the beach and added a "cell phone holder" so it doesn't slide everywhere. (seems my cup holders always have drinks in them so the phone was resting by the transfer case boot.;)

yes I Was doing 60 and fooling with my phone......on an 8 mile, straight 4 lane road with no traffic....
