I have a spare tire winch thingy somewhere in the garage but no key. Happy to give a way to some in need. Not sure the key is more than $49 at the stealership

Saw a post whereby someone was looking to remove the anti-theft bud/tulip/lock on their spare tire winch. Despite cleaning mine annually, the tulip started to strip as the tire approached the top, making it very difficult to snug it up. At least the tire comes down, but going up it was starting to rattle/bounce around. The last thing we need is to have spare tire removal issues when we need it most.

Anyway, here are some pics on how to remove the anti-theft part and just use the hook tool in your tool kit in the existing slot. ie, go back to a non-anti-theft. Stick it in a...

I installed 555 inner and outer tie rods with some new rack boots. Did the alignment by myself with a tape measure! Then had my buddy laser align it and it was almost dead on with my tape measure.

In need of assistance. I purchased the SAE Rigid fog lights to go with my front bumper. The lights come with Deutsch connectors almost same as the fog lights on the car. I was hoping it would be plug and play without the need for the harness it came with. The two connectors don’t seem to mate very well. Can anyone tell me if I would be able to cut the male end off the rigid harness and splice it into factory harness so I can control the fog lights from the factory knob on the steering column. The factory wires look to be a thinner gauge than the Rigid harness. Thanks.

Pretty simple, I ended up cutting off the factory plug and wiring in a Deutsch connector to mate to the aftermarket lights, in my case Diode Dynamics. Works with the stalk factory fog light switch took all of 15 minutes. I ordered the crimper and Deutsch kit off amazon I can link in what I used if you are curious

You crazy bastard, you actually beat me to it lol. This was my plan for Blue when she is retired. Except slightly different. Pretty much the same though. Crazy job and good job being crazy!

Yes please, no issues with the difference in wire gauge? The stock harness can handle the load?
