Yes, luck was on my side this time . All other times , not so much 🤣🤣
Haha... Totally Russian Roulette when dealing with plastic parts on this old trucks. After my experience with the passenger front actuator, I may end up buying the complete units when the other doors act up (which means I have a number of extra actuator motors sitting around).

Added some 3M vinyl wrap to the exterior trim.

Picked it up after having my tech install a new steering rack, new LCAs, and new sway-bar bushings (all OEM). Didn't notice how sloppy the front end had gotten until I drove it the other day - like new!

Not bad for 230k miles.

Finally I deleted the fender flares and running boards. wow, what a difference. I see more mods coming in the future before it is all said and done for this truck. After seeing the LC100 this way, I'd never opt to re-install either the boards or the flares. Great improvement on looks for the cost of nothing. I have some work to do cleaning up, but that can be for another day. This was a bit of a filthy job.
PROS
Easier getting under to grease the drive shaft
Probably going to gain an ever so slight improvement on mpg
Obviously clearance is better and now there's an open invitation for rock sliders
I believe I'm probably saving paint damage with less chance of rust under the plastic

CONS are up to you. for me... none.

Now hit up @LandCruiserPhil for the rear mud flap delete kit he makes and you are all set...for now lol

@Lutz Auto made me a speedo prototype to test with my 2006 LX that has an odd issue where when the cruise control is on, the throttle ever so slightly accelerates then coasts and repeats rhythmically which on a flat road is fairly noticeable. Just got it installed and am going to test it out this evening. Also detailed it while I was at it.

Got a story to tell and remind me not to be stupid…

Rotated my tires and replaced all my lug nuts. Found two tires with nails, so I pulled the small one, hoping it wouldn’t have a leak… but it did. That meant the other one became the spare, because I was down to one plug in my kit, So I plugged it and it held until we drove to a friend’s house for fishing and a bonfire. I parked next his lake, and started fishing, but when we were done and headed back up to his house, we noticed my tire went flat. So we drove to the closest thing he had to a flat surface (his driveway), and got ready to pull it and plug it again, because he had a kit.we got it off ok, but my parking brake must be out of adjustment because it rolled back off my bottle jack, and the rotor dug in to the dirt a little. Now I felt really stupid, because I had never had that happen to me before.

Well at this point it was quite an ordeal. It took two Toyota bottle jacks (he drives a Tundra), and the scissor jack to get it back together, because we had to reposition them. We found out the hard way, because we used two jacks after it fell, and when they were both closer fully extended (but not there yet), it fell a second time. I forgot to block/chock the rear tires until the second fall.

We finally got it all back together, but I will never jack a vehicle without chocking it again.I should’ve known better, so I paid the stupid tax.

Next time someone tells you they have a lot of experience, don’t take it as a sign of arrogance…

Experience is a name we give to our mistakes of the past. Already been through the learning curve.

And I have made a lot of mistakes.

Does that make me experienced?

Then what do you call someone who learns from other’s mistakes … wise?

Installed awning and dual battery tray. Now the ABS light came on right after installing tray… any thoughts?

It shouldn't. The ABS light is indicative of an issue with brakes. The master cylinder and booster is on the other side.
I'd recommend pulling codes to what is triggering the ABS light. With any luck it won't be the brake booster motor failing

Flushed the power steering on the LX. Old fluid was pretty dark, and probably had 145k miles on it (dealer changed rack at 80k). Added a little AT205 for good measure. Steering is definitely easier after.

This UZJ100 have been a work in progress for the last 2 years. Vehicle owner envisioned his rig from the moment she was picked up from the Lexus dealership as a one owner rig; Well, she got into the right hands, twice!
