I have an ironman now but used to have an ARB on another rig, can you please share why you decided to switch?
I would like to know as well.

I prefer the way the ARB looks, especially on the LandCruiser. There are some key differences that I like over the Ironman. The ARB is made in Australia, vs China/Taiwan. The upper bar sits way to high on the Ironman, this is a personal preference. The ARB also has better angles/clearance in my opinion, the Ironman is a very "thick" bumper. ARB Winch mounts on the bumper feet forward vs frame feet down on the Ironman. The bracing on the ARB is far more superior. Every Ironman bumper I've seen that is on a truck that is actually wheeled hard is all bent up. My previous ARB took an absolute thrashing and was just as straight as day one.

It all comes down to preference and use. I have never liked the way the Ironman looks, which magnified the other areas of dislikes quite a lot.

The look you get when you have a good bumper, but you order another one and she laughs...I married the right woman

Ironman to ARB completed :). Winch and side markers still need wiring, but pretty much set.

I like the ARB over IM. Good choice 👍.
How long was the lead time? When I was looking last October, it was 4 months.

My which died…motor is toast. It’s an old hand me down off a buddy’s Wrangler so no big loss. Current debate is repair vs replace. I’m leaning towards replace since at 8,500lbs capacity it’s a bit under sized for the 100 anyway. The amount of corrosion and crud that came out of it was amazing.

I think it'd lean towards replacement as well, shoot for at least 10K and get a nylon rope for it while you're reinstalling, much safer and lighter on the front suspension.

It was a week from order placed to sitting in my garage.

Attempting something on the ole '99...

Wow! Wish it was available then. It’s been 13 weeks and still waiting on the new 1pc bumper from Dissent.

The unit got smashed when the quarter panel was hit in 2019. I went ahead and removed it and capped the AC lines under the hood since we live in CO and can live with just front vents.

I just fully deleted my rear system, coolbox and lines all the way up front. Just one less thing to worry about.
I hate air conditioning. I even keep the shop units off and doors open, and sleep during the summer with a fan and open windows.

I’d have one moldy house if I did that. The humidity down here is no joke.

These are the reasons I went ARB over IM. Aussie bumpers are also crash test rated unlike most others on the market.

Installed Spidertrax spacers from @sleeoffroad in preparation for having my new 200 series wheels mounted. (They came new in box with the vehicle.) Also connected the microphone for the head unit PO installed.
Also pulled the gauge cluster and did some “backwoods mountain folk” DIY for MPH equivalents on the JDM cluster. Rather unlikely I’ll ever hit the higher end. 🍻

Headed down across the border Friday to pick up my Black Friday order of all five front window moldings, rivets, rad, and some fluids. I ordered from Serra Toyota of Decatur and they did a super job of packing the rad (they added extra bubble wrap inside the Toyota box, then placed it in another box with more heavy duty bubble wrap so it arrived safe and sound). Well under 1/2 the price I would have to pay at the local dealer (including exchange).
It was a great day for a drive and only used one tank of fuel.

Full interior refresh complete. New leather, new carpet, headliner and plaid wagon nets on the rear of the front seats. Two weeks later. Carpet replacement is not a fun task. Glad to be done with this. Waiting on my Weather Tech mats to come in.

what year is this thing? looks like a real unicorn, no ahc or fancy infotainment, only thing it needs is to be is thundercloud grey.

Finally finished the side step project for my wife and others who are riding with me. 1.75" tube clamps so I can remove when wheeling. Happy with how it turned out.
