New member of the Wits’ End family has been acquired. Sent my little brother and son on a plane to LA to grab this 2006 hundy.

It’s a total cream puff lovingly xared for by the jolly green giant Brian.

Kids have a 12hr drive back to Southern Oregon so I can start my shenanigans.

Is this a replacement or supplement for the 1999 TLC shop truck?

I don't even know what a reef drawer is but I am going to look it up :p. Those look quality. Are those mounted in any way?

They come with ratchet straps for mounting. Although I may do something different in the front. I plan to carpet the top and stain the front.

Currently supplement. Eventually I’ll offload the 99
I’ll be curious to hear your impressions after playing with the two side by side.

I love my 06 LX “cream puff” as a DD, but there’s something about my 99 LX that’s been “rode hard and put up wet” that’s appealing too. The 99 LX seems to be a happy medium between my old 94 TLC, and my current 06 LX.

Well now that I have a freshened 60, LX450 SC, LX450 turbo, 99 LC, and now 06 LC I’ll have plenty of variables to see which I like more. 😜

Gobi rack finally showed up 352 days after order. This old girl is done, vision realized. Just little things from here on out and my bank account is going to appreciate it.

Can you tell me about that ladder? How solid is that? Thanks!! Rig looks great!

Ladder is from Gobi as well and is VERY stout. I'm not the heaviest guy at 190lbs but I have no doubt it could take much more. I saw a video where a guy had an issue with the lower mounting plate that required modification but I didn't run into the same problem, everything bolted right up as it should.

Any quick tips on how to pop that cover without removing the door
See diagram below. This is for the front driver and passenger. All circles marked in red need to have the fasteners removed.

Next you can peel apart the bottom part of the door as shown in the picture below. Then use a short Phillips screw driver to remove the speaker covers.

The rear door driver and passenger are even easier as you don’t have the 2 screws at the top.

Each corner took me about 5 minutes to remove… which is great because the more I look at the color of the fabric the more I despise it and will be changing out asap.

I recommend using “hook” side of Velcro to adhere the fabric to the back side.

Love the picts! I do want to point out the spring clip at the under the front leading edge (on the pointy side pointing to the front of the car) in that window roll-down button panel is a bit of a pain. Use something flat to push it back and lift the panel up and out of the door panel. I broke one once, although I found a new spring clip to buy (Part #: 90468-05114).
