New shoes today. 285/70/17 BFG KO2 on 17” ICON REBOUNDS. After seeing the truck barely touch the floor coming down from the lift I know know I need a lift, looks awesome.

How did you get these off? I got replacement recovery points and using both an impact wrench and a breaker bar, they won't budge and looks rusted. Tried some liquid wrench (maybe not enough?) and it still won't budge. Was going to try heat next. Thanks.
use a torch and heat it up, that'll loosen it.

Heat is your friend on rusted junk. I soaked mine in PB blaster and three of the four came right out the fourth came half way and then broke the nutcert in the frame.... I ended up cutting that bolt off with a cutting wheel and calling it a day.

With the advice on using heat, I was able to remove the rusty bolts in the rear. The front was not rusty and using just a breaker bar got them removed. So changed out both the front and rear OEM recovery points and installed Trail Tailor ones (soft shackle). Discarded the oem tow hook, too.

Here's one of the rear ones after install. The OEM bolts were rusted, but I had purchased all new bolts and washers from Bolt Depot.

Both rear sides installed.

The OEM vs the Trail Tailor one which is much beefier

Finally, a view of one of the front ones installed. The OEM bumper makes it hard to get a shot of both unless from below unlike the rear.

Mocked up some completely unnecessary grill lights today.

This control arm had less that 20k miles on it :( I wonder if there is a way to "fix" the curve?

A simple spark plug change / bad ignition coil became much more when I pulled out a coil and noticed oil in the tube. I pulled the valve cover and sure enough, some idiot mechanic had simply forced the grommets in the slots without bending back the tabs. The grommets on the leaking tubes were ripped in places letting oil thru. I punched them out easily enough, but you can see from the image how the tabs were bent in. Pulling the other side this week as I know what I'll find.

Replaced original alternator on 1999 LC after 265k miles.

Any recommendations on OEM front axles?

I have put on a new Toyota arm but want to get the old one straightened out as a spare.

Tube bender

This comes off the Golden - yes I still put on a new Toyota arm on it even though I am selling it :)
I think that’s still fixable. Looks like you had fun in the trails? More pictures of the “fun” pls
