How are these compared to the factory arms? Thickness and sturdiness wise? I like that these retain a factory style bushing.
The metal is thicker than factory. The bushing on the axle side can pivot freely, so theoretically they can flex easier/better off road. I needed to replaced my worn out bushings, and unfortunately Toyota doesn't sell just the bushings. They do for the 80 series but not our 100 series.

Rear hatch claimed me as its first victim, struts hold at the halfway point, then slowly give out, but not looking for round two TBI, so these struts are trash to me. Got a set on order, which came in yesterday, so swapped em out today. Went with the OEM KYB stuff, I figure if they lasted even just 10 years on a 18 year old truck, I’m good with that. All good to hook now on the rear hatch.

About to make all them buttons light up again
Can you give a bit more detail on this? I bought a couple different bulbs, but nothing acceptable. I just want OEM bulbs with the green cover like those.
Can you tell me where the various part numbers go, and how many you need?

^Jealous of your garage depth. Once I get my beast in mine it's all squeezing around the sides and front. Dang builder-grade "2-car" garages, grumblgrumble...

Bumper looks great, though- all killer no filler and it doesn't scream out "LOOK HOW OVERLAND I AM" even though it's a great, quality piece of kit.

Super jealous here in Austin, too, my garage dimensions aren't 100 friendly at all. It's always driven me nuts that in the land of large pickup trucks (Texas) no builder builds garages that can actually FIT a pickup. It's like the architects measure two Prius and say "there, big enough".....

I need to seek professional help :slap:
Remember I wanted to sell the Golden? Well, I went ahead and spent a bunch of money getting all the rust repaired on the rear hatch and quarter panels! and then have both front fenders de-dented and re-painted.
A more rational person would have just parted ways with it, but I have never been blamed for being rational

But I am happy to report that she is now looking damn fine, if I may say so myself.

I used the Gummi Stift Pfledge on the sunroof rubber seal to hopefully fix some wind noise I’m hearing. I noticed water sitting in the sunroof area. Decided I needed to clean out the drain. Water poured out after stuffing a bunch of trimmer line down in there. Should be good now!

Good eye. Since ever since, as we say back home. SYR was just a little dream, started up on red dirt in the back yard, on the tiny island of Guam. Hella stoked for Vince and what he’s turned that company into. Just a local boy supporting SYR since ever since

Completed butt lift. 4x4 Labs bumper with Cruiser Tech basket and tire mounts.

But then you could see the bit of rust on my differential…View attachment 2917714
So I fixed that also…

Now it’s time to get dirty again. ;)
looks great! What size tires and wheels on that. I am researching tires wheels now to upgrade MY2000, it has stock 16 wheels now. More for the look than real off road. It does fine as is for offroad at my farm. Suggestions or other forums suggestions welcomed.

Where is the hole to clean out the drain line. Could you share a pic?

My driving style with the 35s on is taking its toll on the old solid front axle. It's been raining daily for the last month here, trails are slick, everything is taking more loud pedal, found a boulder in a bog hole on rev limiter in 2nd low

Last time I tore the whole mount off on the left side, this time it's torn the actual shock mount

That bottom washer was installed the correct way up, it ended up inverted by the time I drove 200km home, the knocking was horrendous

Next time I’m in there I can but you can’t miss it. They’re right on the corners where the A-pillar meets the roof. There’s one on the driver and passenger side, probably a diameter of a little less than a dime.

dropped the resonator.

Dropped the door panels and re-formed all of the speakers including the subwoofer which was worse than the resonator.
