I had previously just wired up the LED turn signals on my new Ironman bullbar but decided to go ahead and wire up the DRL’s too. I disabled the OEM DRL’s in TechStream running Windows7 on a VM. I had a spare wiring harness lying around so I removed the switch components and used the AHC-IGN fuse at the DS kick panel as my relay trigger. It’s only live when the ignition is keyed. Really pleased with the clean look of just the LED DRL’s.

Changed oil and filter (Shell Rotella 5w30 and Toyota filter), greased the driveshafts and UCAs, and rotated the tires.

I meant to put AT-205 in with the oil, but I forgot and didn’t want to overfill. I have a small weep at the front of the engine above the oil pan. I’m guessing crank seal. I’ll get it next time. I’m happy to report AT-205 stopped a leak I had on the front output shaft seal of the transfer case. Really happy I don’t have to replace that.

I found two newly leaking CV clamps, so replaced them with McMaster Carr clamps (thank you @JunkCrzr89).

I also replaced the CDL indicator switch on the transfer case. It now works flawlessly.

Which clamps the small ones or the big ones, how tight did you turn the mcmaster’s did you go by the spec at 27

I didn’t know there was a spec! I did it totally by feel with a small 1/4” drive 7mm socket, IIRC. I’ve replace both. I felt the smaller ones were more forgiving on tightness.

How does this damn antenna install? I am struggling like hell to figure this out...
It is like a 2 minute job. They include full Instructions.. Remove the nut holding in the old antenna and pull the broken antenna out. Insert the threaded adapter. Tighten the original antenna nut and then thread the shorty antenna onto the exposed shaft. That's it! I put a drop of blue Loctite at the bottom to keep the antenna from unscrewing.

By the way... It is cheaper to buy the antenna directly off of their website instead of buying off of Amazon. The Antenna Source Land Cruiser Conversion

that’s wild. Mine did not look anything like that. I struggled like hell to get the tube inside. Had to hammer it down.

New Shoes, Terra 275/75/18.

Found a local rich kid giving away his OEM Rims so I took up the offer. Tires are 33.5ish. OME 2" springs, shocks and new torsions this week. Also had the timing belt and water pump done as well as replaced the cracked radiator and new radiator hoses.

I have been a little bored lately so I finished up the rust mitigation and added molle to either side of the center console. The patches are not pretty but I did not have to weld anything, used a polyurethane adhesive with some screws and painted it silver, matches the truck pretty well, and the bumper covers it. At least it is all sealed and the rust is gone.

Can’t wait to see them mounted.
Went ahead and mounted them last night since we’re supposed to get some snow and these rims have the Michelin Defenders on them.

A couple shades darker than I was hoping, but it’ll grow on me.

Finally blacked out the cladding and rims. Took a bit longer than expected to get everything done I wanted to, but can’t believe how much better it looks. Once I had one side done I couldn’t stand to look at the other side. The darker rims were a must too, just didn’t think it looked right with silver rims once the cladding was black. 2/3 is plastidip as I didn’t know how it would turn out, but once I knew I liked it I used rattle can truck bed liner for the driver side. Sliders finally painted as well. Tires look really faded but they’re 3 years old and only a few thousand miles left, so they’ll match better soon. Next step is window tinting, it’ll look even better once that’s complete, not to mention the extra privacy (I sleep in it) and the protection from the Nevada summer sun. Got the TORA engine Fan & 2 x 9" Thermo fans in today. So started the job of pulling the old shroad and fan off.
Did the Thermo's with it all off, taking some bolts off to push the radiator foward to mount them both.
Got new nuts for the main fan cos I did round a couple - lol virtually impoassible not to do.
It's all on now. Gave up cos night time, just gotta tighten the engine fan nuts and wire the thermo's both up to everything.
The fan shroud was in a much worse state than I originally thought. Missing the entire bottom sections. Fan practically in same state, horrible.
Oh, and forgot, got the extended bolts for pushing the A/T cooler foward. Job for tommorrow too.
