I am currently trying to get my cooling fan/clutch off. 3 bolts off with no problem but the fourth one happens to be a 1/2” nut. Nice. I can’t find a way to leverage anything to keep the thing from spinning when I tap/crank on the nut. Ugh (as usual). And I also found a leak (I am thinking the main seal).

I stole a trick from Mud (@spressomon i think). A wood stick 3/4”x3/4” about 7” long. Brace the top nut with it. Rotate and repeat. Leave all the nuts on their studs until they’re all broken loose so you have something to brace against instead of just the stud. Long handled flare wrench helped. This was a bear for me until I got a handle on this technique. I also picked up replacement nuts when I saw it would be difficult, before I really dug in, gave me the confidence to really pull on them and not be too paranoid about rounding them off, it’s real soft metal on those nuts. Good luck

No difference in ride quality from the "special valving" from accu tune offroad. I tried standard valving kings and they all ride buttery smooth and are very stable. I will be getting standard valving kings for my own rig.

I still did not test the torsion bars, Ill test them today and see.

Stock rear coil springs with a 3cm rubber spacer.

It's crazy how I can blast through the small whoop section with this LC100 at 50-60mph and my long travel 200 cant do it without being uncomfortable and or bucking. Makes me feel foolish and r for spending all that time and money, all I should have done was get a 100 with kings no need to change anything else!, that's it. I will make a video and show you guys what I am talking about, it is incredible how well these LC100s perform.

Hmm interesting. I've got Radflos with remote rez that match the Kings you've got and I definetly don't share the same sentiment where I'd be able to blast through whoops at 50-60mph. Mine are valved to the standard 200psi. I think I'd be extremely uncomfortable and my 100 would break somewhere.

I am extremely curious as to what you're getting from those Kings.

Believe me you would be shocked if you tried it, I cant help but break out with laughter every time I go through the whoop section, its just so smooth, no bucking or harshness at all. takes it like a charm. My long travel lc200 and my friends who own lc200s with king shocks cant go through the same section without bucking or getting a harsh ride they are forced to slow down. You could argue no its the tune!, NO belive me I tried on LC200s, almost every single tune in the filthymotorsports example shim stack section + I contacted king and ben from filthymotorsports. Nothing as close as the LC100.

Please take into consideration:

1. I don't run sway bars on my LC100, nor does my friend. (This does make a difference, you get extra droop upfront and both tires move more independently over uneven terrain)

2. Stock curb weight we don't have any added accessories like bumpers, roof racks, etc.

If I could go back in time, I would not spend a single dime on my LC200 suspension, all I needed is a LC100 with shocks and UCAs, end of story. Its a shame I spent all that time and effort, life I guess.

Once I have the chance to shoot a proper video + slow motion I will post it here and you will be able to see with your own eyes. The chassis stays straight while the tires dance around absorbing all the bumps, its awesome.

Here I found a video of my old LC100, this was around 2 and a half years ago. I do not own the same LC100 anymore I have another one, I made the mistake of selling it thinking the LC200 would have similar performance 🤦‍♂️:bang: , however, I plan to run the same exact suspension setup since it worked so well!

This video does not do it justice, I will take a newer higher quality video on more variations of terrain with the same setup.

Standard valving KINGS with compression adjusters @150 PSI + total chaos upper arms + no sway bars

No sway bar = tire lifts up on hard turns

Thanks,
I’ll see what I can do. I’ll make the stick and give it a try. Thanks for the help.

Changed the timing belt with the Aisin kit. Also put on a new drive belt and idler pulley. ( going to attempt to rebuild the tensioner pulley)

Found the timing belt to be in good shape with markings still visible. However, it looks like someone cheaped out and didn't replace the tensioner or idler. Idler sounded like a bag of marbles. Water pump was leaking at the weep hole as well.

I also replaced the brushes in the alternator while I had everything apart. It was very much needed as the brushes were all but gone.

Took me about 14 hours over two days including cleaning and alternator rebuild. The FSM and Otramm videos made it uneventful.

Got a few jobs done myself, new front shocks, fixed up rear camera wiring, ordered new extended/soft riding bump stops and extended front sway bar links.

XTR's fitted, ride on road ride feels the same as my old OME shocks, hit some pot holed dirt roads, feel is similar/slightly improved, wont really known till I hit the tracks.

I have 17'' rims

Rim to guard at ride height 767mm
Rim to guard at full droop OME 835mm
Rim to guard at full droop XTR 853mm

I finally got the fourth bolt off! The replacement Aislin fan clutch is a little different (the blue hub one). It has threaded posts (and no nuts) to attach to the fan while the old one has the bolt and nut together. So now I got to find some bolts for the fan. Plus I need to get some new bolts to attach the clutch to the engine cuz the ones I took off are in varying degrees of roundedness ( not to mention the one that is a 1/2” bolt). I’m thinking the old clutch is not original since it says made in the USA?
