They only come in an E rating, wish they'd make these in a C and be lighter/softer. Most of my driving is on paved roads and occasional sand/mud very light offroading, E is way overkill. Reason i got these because i wanted to change up the look a bit, i love my duratracs with the stock wheels but just looking to look a little more exotic.
Load rating E is certainly very durable but they provide a very unforgiving ride unfortunately. I can count all the cracks and imperfections in the road running at about 36 psi. Hopefully with a good working AHC (like yours) the ride would be much smoother.

Twinsies! Are yours the 18x9 +25s?

EDIT: I think we have different wheels, hahaha. Got excited there.

I have the Method Grids, 18x9 ET +18 which pokes out a little more. I had it on my last black cruiser that i sold, i bought the same setup again

I finally installed L-Track on my load bars along with custom ratchet and cam straps that hook right into the track.
As silly as it sounds it has reduced pack up and down time substantially compared to having to use regular ratchet straps. When there is no tension on the side of the strap away from you the strap does not fall out of place!
My bars are 30mm OD and the L-track fits pretty much perfectly. Sprang for the black powder coat.
Word of advice: buy the fasteners that come with the kit. I sourced my own stainless countersunk screws and it took me quite a lot of time on the lathe to get the heads to fit just right. If the track were not powder coated I would have obviously just altered the counter sink on them.
I’m seriously considering making an aluminum roof rack where the entire top of the rack is just L track so you can hook accessories anywhere without the hassle of slotted holes. A winter project maybe.

Love L track, so easy, where did you find the cam buckle L-track strap? Also what feet are you using to mount your crossbars? home made?

This is where I got the custom cam and ratchet straps. Very nice quality and USA made other than the cams themself. Apparently there isn’t such a thing as US made for those. Bars and feet are just homemade. Simple, light, low and cheap.

Ok been working on the 100 instead of doing things I actually need to do. Made a bracket to relocate my PS reservoir and I must say removing those two lines really humbled me. I tried to push the reservoir as far back the the air box as possible to allow a hand in front to change bulbs. Also mounted it at an angle to limit the bend on the lines. That let me then mount my huge and heavy Smittybilt compressor there on another bracket. I’ll wait to paint it until after a few trips to ensure no tweaks are needed. So happy to have this out of my drawer and this solves the problem of having to allow it to cool before packing it away. Everything mounted is rubber isolated.

Changed out heater T’s and hoses with a Wits’ End OEM kit. 217k and only one broke during removal.

Installed Headlight Experts LED low and high beam bulbs. They told me the DRL’s would still work but they are only barely lit. So I’ll test out the lights tonight and call them Tuesday. I may go with something different on the high beams so the DRL’s work. Really don’t think I care if they don’t work.

Finally got around to installing the LX tweeter pods, for the last 5yrs the splits have been velcroed to the dash mat. These pods look very neat, were easy to install, and they make a really BIG difference to the sound both in the car when driving and also at camp with door(s) open. Only regret is not having done this way, way sooner!

I had them quoted via Amayama a while back for about half the price of what the local Toyota dealer was asking, but being in bit of a hurry and not knowing exactly how long shipping would actually take, I went for the local supply which was about a 5min drive :)

A good mate of mine helped out with some HMA to glue them in as we couldn't see any other way of reliably holding them. Our tweeters are Rockford Fosgate T167S and fit nicely, but if you want the OEM Toyota tweeters, I believe these are the part numbers:

86160-60320 L/h Tweeter
86160-60330 R/h tweeter
90159-50098 (Screw, 2x required)

Was having some weird temp issues coming back from a camping trip.

Thanks to the think tank on the site I decided to replace the thermostat and radiator cap first.

@Newps, thanks for your great write up. Got the new thermostat installed in about half an hour.

burped the system and took it for a test drive. 110 outside with both air conditioners blasting and the temp didn’t fluctuate on the gauge or my obd reader.

Thinking I might need a new fan clutch though.
