RHD rig is almost ready.

50mm lift, Diff drop, Black hawk UCA, Resz control arms, KM3 rubber, and the list goes on.

Are those 16"/17" steelies? Tire size?

Took the Rocky Road rock sliders I'd had on my old R50 pathfinder and 'adapted' them to fit the 100. A few inches shorter length than recommended but not a big deal at all. Much cheaper than buying new ones, and way more solid on the 100 than they ever were on the pathfinder. Complete and utter pain in the ass to get the bolts in but worth the effort in the end.

Probably not much of an issue in Florida, but if you're ever doing anything on rocks, you're going to miss the extra length. I've got WKOR sliders made for the 100 and have still caught some mild damage on the extreme ends of the slider.

Nothing special for me this week. I bought Gerry a new sticker.

What do you guys think of this? I just had a RTT mounted today and the guys at the shop mounted it to a Yakima TimberLine system on the factory rails. The more I think about it, the more I think that this is not the safest thing to do. I believe the factory rails are rated at 150lbs and this particular tent is 135lbs, but it seems a bit too close for comfort.

I reached out to Gamiviti to see if their crossbars can mount directly to their roof channel towers (Roof Channel Towers — Gamiviti). If so, I'd like to remove the factory rails and Yakima system and mount 8 towers (4 crossbars) and mount the RTT directly to that. Maybe it's a bit overkill (is it?), but if it means I don't have to think twice about safety, it'll be worth it.

Completely agree. I wouldn't run it with the Yakima setup on the factory raised side rails. Did you already own the Yakima bars or did the shop sell you them? They ain't giving away those Gamiviti towers but the Yakima towers/bars aren't cheap either. Could you do it without the cross bars or is the bottom of the RTT not rigid enough to mount the bracket directly to the Gamiviti (or similar) towers?

Did you have resz custom make the control arms? I've got a full set+panhard of his arms on my FJC and really like them. Plus being in the Northeast I don't want anything adjustable/ johhny joints etc... I've been looking for non adjustable beefy lower/upper links and haven't found any yet (besides spc lowers).

Yes, and he is using the duraflex joint which works very well.

Have a look at it on Metalcloak's website. I have been running the Duraflex joints in other applications for a couple of years and they just work.

Is it easy to reach above or from the side to remove the filter?

Let me know if you get a set, I've been eyeing them. I don't plan on Wheeling my 100 like my FJC and I think Aluminum would suit it just fine (famous last words...)
