Been a while since my last update, but I've been busy! Had my hood and roof professionally re-painted and chose to tackle the bumper and fill panel myself. Custom matched aerosol topped with spray max 2k clear. wet sanded with 2k grit and polished with my PC orange LC pad and Meguiar's ultimate compound. I got really close to the factory orange peal and it looks fantastic up close. I had already done my trim and the next step is the rear bumper. I will post some updates and before and afters on that as I go. Installed new Depo fogs while I was at it. Thanks @renma21 for those.

Do you have a post somewhere with more details?

I ordered and received a set of rubber OEM style steering rack bushings with the help of @2001LC . Now I'm trying to rope some poor local soul into helping me install them.

I’ll be doing the same process for my rear bumper, sliders and skids.
I also bought new indicators, aux lights, winch cable and fairlead.

I’ll be painting my hood the same satin but will use a matte clear coat. Finally I’ve gotsome trail damage prior to my rear bumper install I’m going to repair in the factory green.

I feel you on the steering rack work. I’m debating replacing my whole rack while I’m rebuilding my front end. It’s original but doesn’t leak.

Took a trip to the West Virginia/Virginia border to see the fall colors, did not disappoint. I've never colors like this. All the fallen leaves made for interesting traction. The wife's sister visited to see the new baby girl (this was also her first trail ride, which went fantastic) so went for a picnic, made Hot Toddy's, and drove the trails.

I will say I'm terrible at taking pictures (and I dont ever remember to take vanity pictures of the truck or on the trail.

You owe the hundy a big gift once she hits 500K! Sliders perhaps?

Yup, sliders are next, these aluminum steps have been absolutely trashed. Plus new heavy springs for the tired girl since we keep loading her out and sagging her down (rear bumper planned for next summer). What I haven't decided is whether I'm okay with stickers....a Toyota 500K Mile Club sticker would be cool but dont know if I want the look of all the stickers on the rear quarter window...

I have over 290,000 miles now on my 2003 LC and had some time this week to do a little work. First started with the coolant leak at the thermostat bypass at the front of the engine. Ordered the O-ring and black gasket maker to make the repair. I drained the radiator and pulled the thermostat bypass housing off after removing the air intake tube. I may have lost a half gallon of coolant which was topped off in the end. Then, while waiting on the part to be shipped I changed the front differential, transfer case and added a quart to the rear differential. Greased the driveshafts and ball joints underneath.
Putting a new vapor canister in was very easy but expensive.

The best part was taking the USA Spec Ipod interface out and replacing it with a GROM blue tooth and hands free calling unit.

I was supposed to be going to the Philly bike expo Sat but this needs to be done asap. All the parts have arrived, just need a day that's not raining

It was mildly nauseating to know turning either way down the hill meant trouble. The trees actually kept me from sliding further. I felt a lot better with the lines on the truck. It was the first time I have winched while driving, which was really intimidating at first but I've got some pretty knowledgeable coaches.

Getting ready for this year’s brutal winter. Added aftermarket LED park & brake light at the rear bumper for increased visibility to other drivers driving behind me

It looks like fun was had! I am glad you fenders and doors didn't get bashed in. Do you have a rear locker?

No.

But even tho he knew this, my buddy kept saying to me: lock the rear!

Actually got a little dent right between the tire and slider. My husband is more upset about it than I am.

A locker would've come in handy on those black trails.
