How do you replace the stock UBJs? Remove arms and use a press?

I did have to remove the UCA to get the UBJs out. The lowers were no problem still on the rig. When I get new UCAs I will be selling some OEM UCAs with fresh ball joints.

I think I may need to do my inner tie rods. I replaced them as one of the first maintinence items when I bought my rig, but used MOOG brand. They may already be bad. Need to track down a clunking in my steering when stopped or moving slowly.

Or if you're lazy like me, remove the arm and replace the whole damn thing

If you go through the whole process of separating the knuckle and getting the UCA out, pressing the ball joints out and new one in isn't that much more work.

I didn't replace the UBJs. I just installed NitroGear UCAs which had the UBJs already in. I've heard of people replacing the OEM UBJs on OEM UCAs, but have heard it's a beast to do. I needed new UCAs because of my lift. I'm just replacing the LBJs and TREs.

After the stock CD changer finally died at about the 446K mark. I really didn’t want to go aftermarket with the head unit. I knew the model number on the face is the key to different models amongst the automotive world. If the model numbers match you have a direct replacement.

So begun the search and I was able to get a nice unit with @112K or so out of a T4R off of eBay for about 60 bucks.

Got it replaced and funny thing is it sounds better than the old one, hahaha.

Then I HAD to have my CDs back so begins the tear down which (we are all good at right!) I knew I wasn’t going to keep the unit or try to have it repaired.

Some of those CDs are special to the wife and I!

Now everything works like normal and sounds better to boot.

To keep it WHYDY100STW worthy... I replaced a failed original coil pack (297,000 miles)

Do you have all the pullers, press and inner tie rod end tools or are you renting. I think you need all 3 sets for this project probably.

UBJ definitly was more challenging to get in and out than the lower, but not too bad. A second set of hands to help line up the presses and to hold the arm clamped down while you put your weight on a breaker bar is helpful.

One of my buddies here has all the tools in his shop. I'll head over there on Saturday and he is going to assist me.

Put it through a day-long paint correction. I started with a Porter Cable and quickly realized I didn't want to spend 12 hours buffing such a big car. Had to break out ol' trusty Makita and get it done. I wasn't going for perfect, just tolerable. Soon enough it'll have new stripes.

Nice! I need to start mine. The single stage white paint on my LC is driving me nuts

Got the Tundra rims on today. I love it. Going to lose the boards as well. Going to “modify” the dust covers so front caps will fit.

Klasse is very good and another popular AIO(All In One) is HD Speed. I know quite a few mobile detailers that use it. My wife has a 2011 white Sienna and I used it on the van and it shined up really nice and got rid of the oxidation. There is also a brand out of Huntsville, AL called Show Car and they have great products for a nice price. Going to try their compound and polish on the Sienna to get rid of some heavier oxidation. Good luck and let us know how it works out!

Does Klasse AIO and glaze expire? I found both bottles in my garage that is probably from 2005ish, haha. I was thinking about claying/sealing my 100's roof before my Gamiviti rack comes in.

I am not sure about an expiration but if it is 15+ years old I would just throw it away and go with something new. It isn’t that expensive.

The bottle I used this week was from well over 10 years ago. Seemed to work just as well. Actually, I believe they've changed to a more Earth friendly formula since I bought that bottle, so my new one that I've got in the wings may be a different product.

What rock have I been under? Just saw the post in this thread a couple weeks ago by @LXFAM showing the feature of the third row seat pieces (thanks man!). Was this just known by everyone and I'm an idiot? Has it been posted many times before while I've been under said rock? Why did I not know this years ago? My mind is blown. Simple mind at that however. Now I may have to keep it longer and put the 200 idea on hold.

Icon 2.5 setup, Slee UCA's and diff drop, OME rear springs.

Went with heavys right now so there is some rake but I'll be getting the new Slee rear bumper when it is available and a RTT to help level it all out a bit. I didn't want to swap them twice.

Very nice looking rig there. Love those Blueberrys. Are your Coopers 275/70/18?

Got around to doing the valve cover gaskets, replaced the pcv valve as well, air filter, cabin filter. Wiped out the throttle body. Pad slapped the front brakes, rear brakes will be getting done next. Gave the tbars a tweaking as well to try to level it out, may have to turn em a bit more.

Having a look around the engine I found a few interesting things... the alternator has been replaced recently with a china unit, and a near disaster with a PS line that was about to be rubbed through by the PS pump pulley

that would have been quite the mess...
