What is this ""notch" accelerator pedal " you speak of, what am I missing out on:hmm:

I intended to write “notchy” actually, but basically when I push the accelerator it feels “sticky” like it skips along in quick burts rather than smooth and even. Some posts say to clean the throttle butterfly but I thought these were sensor activated and the cable only connects to the sensor that activates the throttle, so I was planning to try and lube the cable. You’re not missing anything!!!

Ordered these from Rockauto on Tuesday night and they arrived today. They have a few other years Land Cruisers and LX470 if anyone is interested. Doesn’t include EWD.

Installed my sliders from the @MT4x4 group buy (awesome deal thank you again!) as I wanted to powder them and it took several weeks. I know I know, they're going to get scratched up, but I have wanted a different contrast color than run-of-the-mill black to go with my truck's Champagne Pearl gold/silver/tan/whatever-it-is body color, and this was a nice excuse to test a color where it was less visible than say, a bumper. I'll simply VHT the bottoms when they get scratched...

I think it turned out great:

Hard to tell on the monitor, but it's a great dark brown/grey, really looks like an oil slick, even has a little metallic shimmer to it. Works real well with the funky body color, but now I seriously need to finish wrapping my lower panels and that ugly trim:

For anyone else looking, it's called Soft Rubbed Bronze by Cardinal (UMB-1326)j and I'll be pc'ing the rack and front bumper this fall when things slow down for me and the pc shop.

I bought the wiring diagram manual off eBay. Let me know if you need any insight.

Got Vaden Toyota of Sylacauga, AL to install OME 864 rear springs and Nitrocharger Sport shocks. HUGE improvement over nearly 20 yr old stock pieces. Since stock air intake had some broken bits and little holes, also added K & N cold air intake. Sounds great under heavy throttle.

Finally got the James Baroud Discovery Space RTT installed! Had to wait until I had 2 friends to help lift it up on the rack. Bolting it up was a bit of a pain due to the low clearance of the Front Runner rack to the 100 roof-line.

Very impressed with the quality. Hopefully will get out soon to try it out.

Waiting on a 200 customer to arrive this morning I did a little more R&D on @Kmonty66 rig...

Tire mount for misc items; fire extinguisher, propane bottle, Powertank, rotopax, anything that will mount to it really.. I'd use a 2" strap instead of this one, just one I had laying around.

I plan to make a bolting pattern to accept a few different mounting plates.

New Dissent front and rear bumpers this week plus a few other odds and ends (thanks @reevesci for getting that antenna mount out to me so quick!)

I also want to thank @benc for working with me to get these bumpers done and out to me in time for HIHs. You are the man!

The quality of these bumpers is just crazy! I’ve had 3 random people comment about the welds this weekend. My wife even noticed them. Truly awesome craftsmanship.

I also installed the adjustable Tough Dog rear shocks today. (Thanks again @reevesci) They are awesome. If you are on the fence about them just do it! The ride is amazing! I wouldn’t have thought it possible before these.

I took a few cell phone pics and will have to get some better ones later. I’m running out of time before HIHs!:)

The coils and plugs look new, with no trace of browning or burn marks on the porcelain.

And here's the fleet, we have property tax on vehicles every year, so come october, i'm grabbing my ankles and the commonwealth is gonna have their way with me. I also have a 4th car but it's a POS and i don't show it.

That is easily the dirtiest air filter I have ever seen on a DD. Were there any critters in there?

I didn’t see anything living in there, but still not entirely sure how that huge lint ball got in there? Im sure an animal was making some kind of nest or something.

bought another one. Going to pick it up on sunday. 2000 model with 160k. I have a rolled 99 that I'm going to pull the elocked axle out of to put under this one. This one wont start and has been parked for two years so I'm going to bring some tools along.

Slowly but surely I guess.
Have new Heater Tees sitting, getting to the frame shop this Saturday, and planning for the first camping trip in two weeks. I'll get to the fun stuff eventually.
