Well...long story short but the front my Front Runner Rack snapped where my Rigid Light Bar was attached & dented my roof:crybaby:. After a few weeks in the auto body shop everything on the car was back to normal. I decided to go a different route with my roof rack though, @benc installed his amazing roof rack. The autohome tent and alu cab awning will be back on soon.:)

fueled up and went for a ride , dreaming of all the awesome extras to add , bumpers awning sliders , things like that . just got an lx a couple months ago and now saving my pennies to build it . not new to toyota but my first 100 and I’m lovin every thing about it . Godzilla is the name , big , green , Japanese and has a big appetite.

Woohoo another green one!

Mine is named Strider (aka Aragorn, from The Lord of the Rings). He was a ranger, and Dúnedain, meaning they benefited from long life-spans, three times the life of a regular man, and could retain their youth until the very end of their days.

Bought the cruiser a Sibling (2005 GX 470 96k Miles) really for the wife! So far she loves it. It has 4runner suspension parts and it is a bit soft so that will need to be addressed.

just kidding ;)

Installed some Spidertrak 1.25" spacers sourced from Slee today on my LX along with TRD Rock Warrior wheels and Cooper AT3 LT285/70 R17 tires. I definitely love the stance and look of my truck now with this combination!

Thank you, sir. That is the nicest thing anyone on this forum has ever said to me.

Don't worry, I am a nerd too... I am literally over here trying to part out a new computer build (need a PC) for my FEA class this semester... I need to run Abaqus and I have no idea how insane to get on this build (I can't be stopped!)

Changed the rear and T/C gear oil. P.O. looks to have been doing maintenance, but old gear oil was due to change. Would have done the front diff but I bought the wrong size Allen key/socket, so tomorrow will wrap it up. So far all 4 bolts were mega tight, had to use a huge wrench on ratchet to get enough leverage to bust em free. Just my style, didn't position the drain pan under the T/C properly and shot a good amount of gear oil on the driveway. I'll get that washed up tomorrow.

On the plus side, I now own a 1/2" ratchet and a nice 15/16 6pt socket.

Just knocked installed SPC upper control tonight. Insanely better steering feel just driving around the neighborhood. Hopefully I can squeeze an alignment this weekend. I'm guessing the gf is going to like driving LX finally. Always complained that it was floaty, lifting it made it even worse. So it'll be nice to have it driving well.

Have always been frustrated with the way my 9" LED pods mounted on my Ironman bumper. They sat too low and made reaching into the winch cradle difficult (bracket partially covered the access holes on the top of the bumper). Sooooooo.......I got some PVC pipe and cut it into 3" sections, got some galvanized long bolts, spray painted the PVC black and mounted the lights on top of the pipes. This represents the zenith of my fabrication skills :) It is now MUCH easier to reach into the winch cradle area...(installing the winch in 2 weeks).

Kitty update! The kitty I rescued this past Sunday is doing awesome! He's eating solid food now and well on his way to recovery. No broken bones, but numerous blunt force traumas on his extremities. Significant skin burns on his legs and paws from being no doubt tossed from a vehicle. He's had 2 laser treatments and daily baths to help the skin heal. We've "expressed" pus from his hind legs daily and the swelling has subsided substantially. He now plays like a kitten and is almost bouncing off the walls. Vet estimated he's 4-5 weeks old now. He has been officially named "Batman" and has now cost more than my front bumper :( But, he's a great kitty and worth every penny.

Cheap and simple ! Plus the spacers will never rust or corrode. Looks good.......

There is a special place in hell for people that abuse animals like that. Thank you for saving him and the name is awesome! But, what Batman is he? Michael Keaton? Christian Bale? Lego Batman?

Haven't really considered which Batman. I know he's not Val Kilmer or George Clooney though ;) Maybe Adam West? And yeah, there is a special place in hell for people who abuse animals. So glad I found him in time.

Removed the factory skids to do some De-yucking. I have always been one to keep my undercarriage clean, so for the start I Simple Greened all the skids and used Rust Bullet-Black Shell on the metal front skid. I had the paint on the shelf, so what the hey. The Plastic skid was missing the one inspection cover, so it's on order for $24 with bolts included. Question for you LX/100 pros. If you look on the left side of the photo on the plastic splash shield, there are 2) u-nuts, are they used for anything ? Am I missing a 3rd splash shield behind that one ? 05 LX.......

I installed 1.5" Spidertrax spacers that I ordered from Slee. It sits so much prettier now!

You can also see how far inboard the front wheels were sitting after the lift.

Can you tell me about your step (nerf) bars? I took off my stock running boards and my wife isn't happy. But since I don't plan on dragging my truck across any boulders, I really don't want to pay $900 for sliders.

Finished my on boardboard /air tanks last week so I picked up a 100watt solar panel to try and help with my battery issues. Seems the factory alternator struggles to keep my 27f AGM battery fully charged with the fridge, water pump, and random electronics running.

Built a 8 way adjustable bracket so I can alter the pitch depending on the sun.
