Nice! What sliders are those?

Mike at Bump It Off Road built those for me a few years ago. I told him what I was looking for (something clean, non-flashy, utilitarian) and that's what he came back with. I love them and highly recommend working with Mike, he's such an easy guy to work with (plus hes local and a long time Cruiser Head!). I have had the front wheels fully off the ground off shelves, sliding completely on those with no fears. They are beefy!

Acquired the beastie a little over a week ago- thus far:

- purchased and programmed 1 transponder and 2 remote keys.
- replaced tires and purchased lifetime alignment plan
- replaced the radio with a modern CarPlay unit
- repaired the dreaded T hoses
- new mats
- filters, fluids, etc.

- replaced tires and purchased lifetime alignment plan
Mind if I ask who you went with for the alignments? I'm debating doing this. What's the catch? Is there a limit to how many you can do per year or something?

Most likely through Firestone. No limit, but they do know how often you come in. Apparently they also kinda suck/don't want to put effort into doing good alignments for lifted trucks with aftermarket UCAs. That being said, I paid for it because it only takes a couple times to pay for itself. I also keep a close watch on my tire tread.

Firestone. I used to work there, and a little known secret is that for under $200, you can get a lifetime alignment policy good across the country. Per the policy, it's an alignment every 6 months, but I've never had any problems having it done as needed.

Naysayers will say that Firestone is a hack shop- I used to work at the location on Hickam AFB; 19 bays, all ASE certified techs. Never had any problems with customer complaints.

To me, it's worth it.

Changed the heater T's! Thank god I changed it before my trip to the desert! It fell apart as I was trying to take it off!

Bypassed the factory amp completely, ran new wiring from my aftermarket head unit to the speaker wires at the amp.

Rear speakers: no bass at all - Bypassing Amp entirely [Complete]

All wrapped up now, works great. Problems solved, sounds great. There was a "fuzz" before that's now gone, and I once again have full range of sound from all 4 speakers.

I've pretty much confirmed my suspicion that the factory amp had kicked the bucket, or at least had begun to malfunction.

What model RV?
It’s a Jayco Jayfeather 17xfd. My wife and I looked at a lot of floorplans and this fit us best while staying in the weight range I wanted. It weighs in at 3400lbs dry and gives us 3 beds so we won’t have to reconfigure a dinette or sofa when we have our son and his grandmother with us. Plus it has two axles.

My 06 pulls it with no problem, but I’m afraid I’m going to need to regear my 2000 to make the long trip from GA to Colorado for HIHs. I’m excited about going triple locked though. If I do regear I think I’ll go with Harrop e-lockers.

And if anyone interested in my Tepui Ruggedized RTT its up for sale in the classifieds.

This weekend we topped the KISS drawers with an Alu-Cab tilt slide for the 47L ARB using t-nuts a la @brizzle. Love this slide and highly recommend, but try to get it on sale somewhere; I signed over my first born for this damn thing.

I did this about 6 months ago. Did you noticed a little bit of a rattle when its in the locked position? I just wedged a baby diaper at the inside edge to temporarily fix that... Guess I should get a foam strip or something like that. LOL

Very nice set up. You might invest in a larger fuel cell before gears....I pulled a 4 x 8 trailer to CO last year and was stopping for gas every 180 miles heading out to CO- with that camper not sure regearing will help the Econ.

Thanks! I just finished a pop up camper making it livable. Took it out this weekend and it’s just too small. Two adults, two kids and a medium dog won’t fit.

Wax!! I can't remember the last time I actually waxed a car. I have been paying for many years but I am afraid nobody will do a good job on the LC. I don't care about my other vehicle but for some reason I am obsessed with this thing that is covered in brush scratches from Big Bend. I think it is a sickness...
