Heh that hammer that I broke first was from harbor freight, cheap 3lbs mallet. This is my Home tools, I have better stuff at the shop. Rebooting cvs are too time consuming to do at the shop and it’ll tie up a lift so I just do it at home. I take my time and just clean everything as much as I could. Man that steering knuckle sure is heavy, hell even the axle is heavy trying to shove back into the diff. This truck is just overbuilt in general.

For some reason IPA seems to make these parts lighter- try that next time:D:beer:

I really need to do this as well. What was the culprit in the center console vibration?
The tabs that lock the console down were the main culprit. Once I pulled it and tapped on it, they were making a lot of noise, so I placed a piece of tape over each one which stopped the rattling but allowed them to snap back into place. The second point that was rattling was tougher to find but I finally figured out that it was the chrome trim ring around the gear shifter, so I placed some thick Gorilla tape behind the tabs on the bottom side to dampen them. Now it's nice and quiet again.

I finally took of the running boards!

Slee step sliders are on the way.

275/70/18 KO2's soon.

Drove down to Bend, OR, to pick up my new KISS drawers from @cruzerDave. Perfect cruiser weather!

Good stuff. Will try this! Thank you!

Finally took care of Heater T's - one broke apart as I was pulling it out. Oof, should have done it sooner. Just over 200k, not sure if they were original.

That said, job.

Put on a set of King springs ... AHC still running strong. Neutral pressures in the rear were 7.1 before the new springs went in. Now at 5.0 ... just right in anticipation of @benc rear bumper going on soon

Thanks to @Ramathorn15 for the push to do it myself.

Got a Viair 88P so I can get out on the sand and air down. And then drive home with full time pressure. Works awesome. After a test run in the dunes and then on the beach, I did a hand wash in the driveway and flushed out a bunch of old mud and sand from the undercarriage.

I have that same compressor, works great, gets hot as crap though. I can air up one tire from 20 to 40psi, then gotta let it cool down.

How do you like that floor jack? Any regrets or picky points?
No regrets here ... was $180 on sale at Harbor Freight. Exact clone of $650 Snap On. Raises to 24” ... I needed all of it to get the droop for the spring swap.

Yeah, I think it was getting pretty warm, the air hose was even hot on the last tire. I aired up all 4 tires from about 18psi to 35psi and didn't have any trouble, but I don't have big tires 265/75/16. I didn't touch it to see how hot it got, but I trust you on that!

Mine looked like original, they were brown. Replaced mine and hoses together to lessen the risk of a crumbling tee. My old tees looked bad, but still feel sound. I tried to crush one with a pair of channel lock pliers with moderate pressure and they didn’t break. So who knows...

Did you re-use the factory clamps? Wonder if they loose some clamping tension over the years.

Yes, I reused factory spring clamps. I kept an eye on them and so far no leaks. I just replaced hoses & clamps on my wife’s 4Runner. Bought new Toyota hoses and spring clamps. PSA: New Toyota spring clamps come fully opened with a red clip keeping them tensioned Open. If you like your fingers, keep them away from the new spring clamp when you remove the clip, they snap shut hard.

Thanks Dw- Im about to replace all the cooling system rubber hoses on my 180k service, and contemplated new vs. re-using the factory spring clamps. The cost of new spring clamps is probably upward of $100 for everything, kind of pricey for clamps.

Well, first up, got my "custom" radioactive green shells from @suprarx7nut ! I have the orange ones as well. Can't say enough about the quality and customer service. I think this one should stand out when I drop my keys in the dirt ;)
