-Replaced rear springs with OME 2865's.
-Replaced all dampers with OEM Toyota.
-Replaced upper and lower rear control arms.
-Cleaned air filter (AFE).
-Lubed up some seals with ShinEtsu.
-Did a general check in prep for our trip to Colorado!!
(still have a total front end rebuild in boxes in our garage, but that can wait...)
I have the 2865's also. I can tell you they have been great for DD. I have loaded the truck with family in all rows with a couple hundred pounds on top and it rode very comfortably. Slight droop in rear. I dont do heavy off road or carry constant gear. when its time i plan on adding air bags as well.
I had an issue a few weeks ago with a massive coolant leak after a timing belt/water pump replacement. After a few weeks of on and off work travel, I finally had time to do some work. Turned out to be the water bypass joint wasn't seated all the way. Initially, I thought it was the water pump that wasn't seated. I'm definitely glad it wasn't the water pump!
While waiting for the RTV to dry, I got around to changing the heater hose tees and sure enough, one of them disintegrated as I was removing it. I was looking at the upper radiator hose inlet and it is wearing slightly similar to the heater hose tee. Might be another candidate for preventive maintenance for my next 30k service.
Took her out for a spin and found that I was leaking from the lower radiator hose. I reseated the hose clamp to see if that would help (and it did). I honestly thought I could get away with reusing the hoses since they looked like they were in pretty good shape...oh well. I went ahead and ordered some new lower and upper hoses.
This was a few weeks ago, but I was in dire need of replacing my rear trunk carpet because of some liquid that spilled on the original carpet that started eating away at it (looked like some cleaner spilled by the previous owner). I acquired a Land Cruiser rear trunk carpet from another member here assuming it would be a direct swap with the LX470. Turns out there is a slight difference on the right side of the carpet...there is a little more real estate with the Land Cruiser. Laid the original carpet on top of the new one and cut the excess out.

So I took on the APPS last night; about 20 minutes start to finish. CEL went off right away so I cleared the code. Truck seems to be running fine.
Opted not to mess with the TB (after initially considering cleaning it). It really didn't look bad and I didn't feel like messing with it.
Also replaced the radiator cap; truck is running in the 195-205 range on hot days so I thought I'd start with adding water wetter and a new rad cap to see if that would help bring the temp down. I can't say I've noticed much of a difference at this point. I think the next step might be a 170* thermostat (as prescribed for super charged trucks), but I don't know when I'll get to that.

The problem with MT LCA (for me) is the adjustment length- if you need to correct pinion angles- the uppers are too long and need to be cut down, and the lowers are a bit short- requiring more thread exposure and less internal bite. If simply matching OEM length-they're fine.
TT can custom cut the DOM tube to your preferred measurements for max strength. He's also got the option to add threaded adjusters in the DOM tube so they can be adjusted while mounted- this makes pinion tuning super easy.
First impressions are positive! We are leaving for the mountains TODAY, will be towing our adventure trailer, and have a total of 5 people in the truck. I guess this trip will be a more thorough test
Old bushings were cracked and the arms themselves were rusting/flaking; still seemed serviceable which is amazing to me after 17 years and 237,000 miles. I have not done (or bought) the lateral arm yet, but assume a wrencher could get all 5 done in a few to a doublecouple hours.
You will need a 24mm or 15/16" socket or open end!

I have my tb's cranked, one side maxed out, what are your front fender measurements? I really don't want to have to reindex!! These are slightly taller than stock coil, correct?
White Chocolate made the 500 mile round trip to the coast and back effortlessly! My 21ft Skiff in tow, loaded with the kids and luggage, I am still amazed at this thing and how well it performs with the age and mileage on it. I do need to address my rear coils, as you can see! On a funny note, we were pulling the boat out on a rainy day, slick ramp, trucks and suvs spinning everywhere, no problem for the LC!
