What have you done to your 100 Series this week? (57 Viewers)

A buddy came over to assist in the diagnosis of my completely dead battery. The battery is 2 months old and the Cruiser only sat for 36 hours after I drove it everyday this week. I have been having battery/starting issues for several months, or so I thought.
After jump starting it, we started looking around for something that could drain the battery. We assumed the new battery was good.
My buddy has some experience in this area of troubleshooting, I was of no help...
He found a shoddy wire with a fuse attached to it under the glovebox. We chased the wire up into the dash and found what appears to be a LoJack device. Some quick google searching all but confirmed it. I had no idea this device was installed. Thanks PO!!! It was promptly removed. This should hopefully solve the battery drain issue.

Epic first post and LX! Welcome to mud!

What made you want to switch from the taco to the 100?

Thanks man. Needed room for my kid, wasn't really planning for the future when I bought the Tacoma, but I had a few great years with it. Plus I rarely used the bed and always wished my gear was inside.

It was an awesome truck though, regeared to 4.88s, front and rear lockers, etc. Will probably be doing something identical with the LX.

BMW E30. Don't mind the exhaust pipe out the hood, that was a joke

Oh s***! Missed that by a country mile....just saw the wheel and fender and thought hmmm Toyota guy maybe a Cressida drifter or something. E30's good budget track cars if you can call anything BMW budget

Jumped the gun on my build plan because of weather, and installed the Discoverer AT3's. I wanted to put my ToughDog suspension from Trail Tailor in first (which is still 1-2 weeks away), then the tires, then align it all, but weather has gone to crap and it is snow, ice, and slick roads pretty much as far out as they can forecast...

I have to say I am impressed with these tires- the grip on snow/ice is the best I've ever had in a truck tire. Highly recommended if you are like me and going to be more overlanding than mud-bogging it: Glacier Natl or Moab this next summer!

You mentioned you had Tough Dog suspension on order? Foam cell or ralph shockers? I have Ralph at the front and 9 stage adjustable in the rear. I am very very happy with them. I have mine set on the loosest setting at the moment and it is like a 1970s Land Yacht or AHC in comfort which is how I like it. 5 turns in though and it is like AHC sport but without the jarring. I'm sitting a little higher in the rear until I get my diff drop and can crank the tortion bars a bit. That will have to wait though as I am chasing a possible exhuast manifold leak.

Ironman kit installed along with Foam cell pro's, spidertrax 1.25 spacers, 275/70/18 Big foot AT's (got a deal on these), and Slee diff drop. It drives amazing now and I have no complaints

Glad to hear you like the setup! My shocks will be the monster 53mm in front, and 45mm adjustable in rear. Rear constant rate springs with the TD torsion bars in front, and TT's diff drop.

Constant 12v from Aux Batt to the rear

Installed stoptech rotors and pads on the front! They are super beefy. I love the feel so far.

I meant to take a pic with the wheel off but was ready to finish and forgot to.

Interested... cost, source, anything else to do like SS brake lines?
Any chance you measured before and after stopping distances?
