Finished my brake system baseline - new rotors, pad, stainless lines and rebuilt calipers - then flushed the system using Techstream.

Next up is a carpet replacement project using the product I received yesterday from All Car Carpets in Australia. This will replace carpet from firewall to back of second row seating. I will also be installing a bedrug mat to replace the rear section

As far as i can tell they were exactly the same. I cant say internally or longevity wise for the Denso; not that knowledgeable on radiators. I have pics of them in my build thread.

How does the denso compare to the oem?
Denso products are high quality products, which is why Toyota uses them for so many of their parts. I'd not think twice about running Denso anything.

Yea I'm aware of Nippon-Denso, just didn't put the 2 names together.. I guess AMAZON it is.. Thanks fellas..

I thought it was strange seeing someone with so many cruisers questioning Denso quality =) Good luck with your repair.

looking to get new shoes on my 99/100
running dunlop 285/75 on stock 16s with a 2 inch slee medium kit
i have a bad vibration all over the truck at 35mph and up
balanced with internal weight beads
doesnt feel like a tire balance issue
rotated them and feels the same
any ideas? first hand experience? solutions?

does anyone else run a front spacer on their 285/75r16 mt or at tires?
do i need it? maybe thats causing the vibe?

i have a 3 month old daughter and im not sure i want her in there before i find the solution

thanks in advance

I tried using 10oz of balance beads in each wheel do to the poor balancing characteristics of my 295/75r16 bfg ko2's. I've since dismounted all four tires, cleaned them out and balanced them with traditional wheel weights. 1000 times better! I might have a couple just slightly bent wheels. Only one was .25 oz off from balancing perfectly. I have had good luck using ceramic balance beads in motor cycle applications, but in my opinion truck tires this size are to large.

White knuckle slider install this weekend. Really nice build quality. Easy install process. One of the sliders had some serious flaws in the powder coat which was slightly annoying but i figure some black spray paint will cover it nicely.

First post! Bought a 99 with a bunch of miles (220k), really good shape and well maintained though. Must have been owned by older people since the body was rustproofed and we found an AARP sticker on the window! Sounds like something wise older people would do eh?

Since we have welcomed Landy to our family last week I have done:
- Air filter
- Front, rear, transfer case fluids
- Lube shafts (keep it adult adults:))
- Oil, filter, Ceratec
- Fog bulb replacement
- Replaced muffler
- Drive it and love it!

Still need to:
- Trans fluid exchange (just planning on drain and fills, many times over...)
- Install 2" hitch and wiring for our bike carrier and enclosed trailer
- Paint gold lettering, calipers
- Brake fluid flush
- Power steering fluid flush (in progress)
- Rustproof the underbody
- Weathertech mats before next cold season
- Drive it and love it!

We have owned soooo many cars and vans since we have been married (at least 30) and the biggest regret of a sale was our beloved 1995 Previa AllTrac SC. This Land Cruiser brings some of those fond memories and Toyota nostalgia back for us. Right when we spied it we were smitten.

Thanks for the information and DIYs. Nate.

Verify the tires are balanced on a machine first. Then maybe take a look at each front corner with a tire off the ground and check for play. Another thing to look at would be to see if a driveshaft needs rebalancing.

Go to your stealership (or indy shop if they have the appropriate machine) and ask for a "road-force balance". Not sure if this is what you went with in the beginning or not but road-force balancing is specifically designed to cut down on vibrations.

Yah, road force balancing is necessary on these trucks, it seems.

Yesterday I done both cv axles and drive flanges, front UCA's, Rear LCA's, Panhard Rod. Didn't manage to get the rear UCA's done so will be back under the truck next weekend to finish.

Do I really need to run the spacer in the front. To clear 285/75-16 on stock wheels ?

Do they clear without?

^ My 285/75-16 Duratracs actually cleared better without the spacer than with it. Looks better with the spacers though...

Took it up to @murf at CBT to get some love. Fixed both leaky CV boots and resurfaced rear rotors with new pads. Incredible service as always. Thank you sir!

So clean. Second photo is best of all when this is on paperwork!

Finished my timing belt a couple days ago, not a hard task just time consuming... Replaced heater hose t's, Radiator (fxxxer had just started leaking from very small crack on filler neck) Aisin timing belt kit from Amazon, cam seals, serpintine belt etc...Anyways here are random pics.... Oh yeah peeps getting ready to do this, do yourself a favor and take radiator out.. You have way more space in there and not to mention you can fit a regular size air impact gun to losen the crankshaft bolt....Can't imagine doing this job without the extra space...
