I didn't do this to the 100 this week but it was recent enough to merit sharing. I sunk it. To the frame sunk it. Truck couldn't pull it out, tractor couldn't pull it out sunk it LOL.

Those are 35" Toyo MT's hiding in that mud. Looks like a street tire...

My recovery vehicle after a truck and tractor failed:

I had to pull the wheels and wash the inside of the rims, suspension, frame, everything completely. Also found this on my JT UCA's:

^ ouch! That don't look good.

New to the 100 club (was an LR3 guy before a deer said hi at 50mph). Went with an 06' LX470 over a 10' LR4. Love the vehicle so far! I haven't put it through its paces yet, but I'm getting a feeling it is a much more capable off-roader than an LR3.

This week:
- OME 2", and AHC removal. OME has been backordered on torsion bars, so that will have to wait (along with new control arms)
- K&N Air Filter
- Oil change. Switched to Mobil 1 high mileage, and a Royal Purple oil filter.
- Replaced high and low beams with Philips Ultra Whites. MUCH better visibility now.
- MAF sensor and throttle body clean

I'd like to make a straight shot intake pipe to the throttle body, anyone have an idea of what the black box hiding under the cover is? My search results haven't found anything.

Thanks! Looking forward to the forum!

Had my Timing belt done today, I paid someone to install it as I had nowhere to do it myself. Water pump was starting to weep so glad it is done, bearings where good but where replaced as I bought the aisen kit.

Took a ride down to OK4WD to pick this up and get it mounted. The crew at OK is awesome and we did the install together since these are just starting to make it into the market. This awning is awesome!

Air intake resonator?

Air intake resonator?

Not the smaller one toward the front, the larger black box toward the cabin. There are about 4 houses coming from it. It's new to me, I've never seen anything besides a resonator box before the throttle body. I'm close to just giving up the idea of bypassing this, but it would still be nice to know exactly what it does! I've posted another picture from the roof of the hood. Vacuum Switching Valve is what it looks like it says. Greek maybe? :D

My understanding of the resonator is that it cleans up the air waves heading to the throttle body, resulting in less noise and more power (albeit probably both in small part).

Replaced the positive battery terminal connector. The old one could not be tightened down on the battery post and it occasionally lost power as a result. Easy and satisfying fix :)

Yeah, looks like some kind of master vacuum box. I remember taking it off for some reason and it has several vacuum lines. Seems like it's needed.
