Yeah...the head gasket, of course, and the header/manifold gasket. Anything else for a simple job before I order up?

Hmm still available? That'd be cool! However, I have headers...doesn't that complicate things i.e. I would need an exhaust gasket designed for headers? Old Manafre headers from the 80s!

Not 100% sure

Oh your headers i would run a remflex gasket for sure. Do a search on here, its covered. I have used them way better better then original

Not sure about stock gasket prices... but for many engines, it’s more economical to buy a rebuild gasket kit than to buy a bunch of individual gaskets. Also that way, you’ll have the new oil pan gasket and rear main seal you’ll need next year when your rear seal starts to leak ;)

aw that seal? Been leaking for years! Yeah I did think of the gasket kit but I'm not sure when I'll get to that project and I don't think those kits have a header gasket.
Do the header gaskets fit all style of headers? Going to search for Remflex now....

For a SBC the price difference between a Head gasket and a rebuild kit is negligible.

You’ll still need a header gasket... but it’ll give you everything else you’ll need for a long while.

Where would you recommend getting the gasket set/header gasket? I've been eyeballing the Specter header gasket as that is the only place I know that has both the header gasket and head gasket....as well as sets, but then would have to add a header gasket. Price seems nice but it ain't a Remflex.

Your machinist should be able to get you the valve job gasket set at the best price. The manifold gasket is the same as a header gasket. Is SOR still selling that kevlar header gasket? That was a POS from day one.

I'm working on a F155. Specter has some carbon thingy gasket. They don't say anything about Kevlar. The Remflex is $45 but $19 for shipping is a pain in the wallet. Isn't it a 3 piece gasket that would just about fit in an envelope?
