Box?
Have you tried telling the same thing to Michael Jackson?
Well Michael Jackson isn't interested in adults.....
Anyhow typical fashion and to keep tradition alive what should been 1/2 hour job turned into 6 hour ordeal.
Firs the factory bumper came off I couple of minute, great. But as soon as we tried to put on the ARB bumper trouble started, unknown to me the passenger front rail was bent.
After much cursing, high lift struggles and sledge hammer.....no I'm not kidding, we used sledge hammer. We finally got all 12 bolts in. This baby ain't coming off any time soon.
Then we decided to install my 12000lb winch from smithy built. ARB bumper is a front mount design so it took 3 of us and a lot of cursing to figure out how to clock the motor.
Then because the bumper's angle and being front mount we had to fab up 3/8 inch spacers and get longer bolts from Home Depot.
Needless to say it was an adventure and we kept our minimum 3x how long is normally should take track record.
And of course this post would be useless without pictures.
First step was easy but it all went to hell after that.

I have to say I'm really liking the look of the bumper, it seemed to me that it complemented the rig quite well.

i had to ditch the boxes because i had to ship one to another mud member and bring one to Joey. Cut my hair just to make room for the two ARB bumpers.
and no more tea bagging!!! I can't look at a tea bag straight in the eyes anymore!

Although the stories from the 6 hour ordeal are quite entertaining.
Finished my turbo install on 1FZFE [emoji2] and then broke the A442F truck gearbox. No more 3rd or Reverse [emoji22]
Who on MUD has loaded up 2 ARB bumpers in their 80? I bet I am the only one.
Looks good. I suffer from a similar disease that every project ends up taking 3x as long as it should.Well Michael Jackson isn't interested in adults.....

As for the winch mounting, I'm not sure why ARB doesn't just make the bumper a "feet down" winch mount. There's tons of room to do it and it makes things much easier since most winches default to feet down until you clock the motor. It was much nicer with my bumper (modified ARB) to just weld a new winch cradle in across the frame sleeves of the bumper and mount the winch feet down.
