Washed it, then a fluff and buff with 3M mirror glaze and Zymol wax. I don't have a machine so this was a classic hand job. There were a couple spots I had to work really hard on. I was trying to rub one out and I felt like it was taking forever. I almost didn't have the stamina to go on, but I really went to town and made it happen. Very satisfying. And when my wife got home she was very impressed at how shiny it is now...AND THEN I DID THE SAME THING TO THE CRUISER

I'm back and wifey approved. Swapped my stock 100 (with 150k) for my parents stock locked 80 (with 280k). My parents are the original owners and picked up the 80 when I was in college.

Thanks Ali for the write up and CDan for the parts!

Finally got my rear video monitors working. And installed my backup camera, which is not working yet.

Had to do this in intervals... 100 degree Texas heat!

My plan is to match the leather color... So using the black leather until the other leather is colored to match.

I did the kick down cable adjustment finally (after 3 years of out of adjustment trans.). What an instant difference! I need to play just a bit with where it's set. I had no pedal travel before it downshifted before. If I pressed maybe a 1/2" of pedal, it would kick from third to first, jump 2000 rpms and then the trans would get all jiggy and jump back and forth for a couple seconds. This morning it shifted like it should. A little pressure shifted down one gear with maybe 5-800rpm jump and no crazy stuff.

I'm hoping it makes a difference in fuel consumption too because I basically had to drive with a lead foot to keep her moving before.

All worth it

Looks like a flat road, was it pushed over?
Nah, there was some rocks to the left. Another friend and him were playing follow the leader. First truck went over a boulder fine, when he followed the line the boulder sheared dumping the truck a little too much and went to its side. Thankfully no one was seriously hurt. His daughter was in the front passenger seat, her foot slipped off the half door and actually got pinned between the rocks and truck. The group managed to lift the truck off her ankle. By miracle she ended up with just a bad sprain. They went back into town and all got checked.
