You should remove that damage multiplier. :flipoff2:

One of the first things on the to-do list. Got put a call in to Cruisin' to see about getting a 8274 ready 80 bumper on the way. :smokin:

I used the useless cubby above the radio to make a mount for the backup camera screen and tried to find out the sours of the water leak I had recently. Apparently the water gets in from unexpected places. I fixed the bottom of the 3rd window 6 months ago and it's still solid. Pictures to follow.

Here's the mount I made. I used the same cubby, but turned it around. I managed to carefully drill two holes in it without breaking it and when I took it out to go inside the house to make some adjustments I hit it against my phone inside the pocket and dropped it on the ground. It shattered in three pieces. So the usual profanities came out of my mouth for the next 15 minutes, while trying to glue it together. Not it looks awful.

Initially I made a template because my plans were to fabricate an L shaped piece of metal, but changed my mind in the process.

Last one shows where the water comes in from behind the bumper. There is a sealed hole there. You can barely see it. On the DS a plugged with a piece of wood. Gotta do a better job there too. Silicone baby.

I'm getting a few apps for it next week.

I think he was referring to the Mighty 3FE powered 80s (91-92 years) that have a stopwatch and alarm clock built in to the factory clock.

Exactly,
FZJ80's are so overrated.

I didn't realize this is an out of focus picture.

I shot a short video with what I did. You can probably see it better here.

Very cool. A buddy of mine is from Monrovia, Liberia.

What do you do for work that takes you there?

That's a damned good question. I guess what I do is to look things over, figure things out and suggest solutions to problems. I also back-stop the boss on just about anything and everything that comes up.

Just after those pictures were taken, I made the observation that the third row seating tilts out of the way or can be removed entirely, and the look on their faces was priceless.... ;)

You'd be surprised how many times the success or failure of projects are determined by relatively simple things like that.

New shifter base and steering shaft gasket/seals. Can't stand seeing dust floating around inside my rig when driving a dirt road with the windows up.. Plus it should cut down on heat making it into the passenger compartment. When I had the shifter trim off I could feel a pretty good jet of hot air coming through where the shifter linkage goes into the trans tunnel.

Finished the rear diff. The ARB instructions are great but this was still a very tough install.View attachment 1078438

Replaced the crankshaft and oil pump seals. Big thanks to whoever put out that awesome you tube video detailing the process. Definitely cringed when I hit the ignition to loosen the 30mm crankshaft nut with a breaker bar attached to the frame! Did work as advertised. Overall, still took a while and made a huge mess but its over now and I think those were the last of my oil leaks...at least on the engine.
