Boring - installed two new Odyssey 34r batteries in the beast this afternoon. 7 year old Optima Yellow Top had given up the ghost and the Sears Platinum in the primary position was over 5 years old. Both had served a good life and that Optima, despite a lot of folks bashing them, has been a good battery in the secondary position supporting primarily the ARB fridge, radios, offroad lights and ham/cb radios. Fridge did a number on the Optima several times in the SoCal heat.

Used the damage multiplier that came with my 80 to setup a slackline. 3" pipes from the middle were buried to anchor chain and the pipe around the headlights make a perfect A-frame.

I live on an old colliery so 3" down is coke and scrape steel. Found 5 railway nails .

Just got an 80 accessory, Winona Kevlar canoe. Used but sweet, and light. Mine is in the foreground and my buddies is behind. Ready for cruising and floating.

Repainted a 60 emblem and transplanted it onto my 80 grille after cutting a few pieces of the plastic for a recessed fitment.

Also repainted my spare wheel which was VERY pitted. After removing what was left of factory paint....I used primer contact layer, bulldog adhesive and Duplicolor graphite wheel paint. I plan on mounting a 315 AT sometime in the next few weeks.

Finally when wheeling, this is rowler flats. More challenging than I first thought but walked up stuff that looked difficult.

Wish I could of made it, but got stymied at the home stretch of my knuckle rebuild! FWIW...13 ft. lbs on the speed sensor bolt seems a bit much as I spent a couple hours trying to get the beeatch to back out after I snapped the head off. Also, big thanks to @Qball and @NLXTACY for letting me borrow crap, helping me source parts, and talking me off a ledge during my birf adventure!

Replaced my Michelin LTX 265 70 R16 with a set of Toyo Open Country 275/70 R16

A little late but took mine out to EJS. As always did some Kane Creek action. Oh, also pulled the flares off. [emoji16]

I was out there on Friday afternoon, flares still intact, lh rocker not so much

This weekend was mostly an "unboxing" weekend.

First off, received the new carpet kit and have it laid out to "relax" during the week before doing the installation.

And the sound deadening from FatMat

The front brake rotors, 100 series pads, caliper rebuild kit from Brake Performance and Trail gear Birf rebuild kit w/ bearings.

and the new LED conversion package from PFran which I got installed today. In the process of adding the reverse lights I did the "funky light grill guard delete" mod. The front grill/brush guard delete mod is pending.
