It took you three beers to attach a coozie to your fender?
Well I had to remove the snorkel and fender so that I could weld on a grade 10 nut to the back of the fender to feed a grade 10 bolt through. Drilled another hole for the safety chain to attach to the frame in case the grade 10 bolt that was attached to the grade 10 now captured nut failed. The coozie was overheating in this location and I was at my wits end. I considered overdoing it and installing an electronically releasing latch to easily detach said coozie but I figured that would be overdoing it NLXTACY style :flipoff2::flipoff2::flipoff2:

No, I would have started a thread about being at my Wits' End™ about not having a cup holder on my fender while I'm working on the truck. The intent of that thread would have been to ignore other people's input and vacillate about what I was going to do all while working on other stuff or focusing on the next shiny object. Then, 6 months later when someone bumped the thread to ask what the hell happened with the exterior cup holder, I could then say fug it and just stuck a neodymium magnet in the coozie and called it a day. But I would have had plenty of pictures and the magnet itself would have been over kill...and it would lead to over heating.

Speaking of which doesn't @bhicks have a couple hundred laying around? :P

Ran from the law, thank god for factory lockers.

3 beer job

Now, out of ALL the f***ing cupholder threads, we find out we've been focusing on the WRONG area. OUTSIDE!!!! What the hell were we thinking? Can you sell these? Do you make them in dual cupholders? I want to see a design with TEQ on the outside of it so the rest of the world can see it!
Genius! Roll down my window and grab a drink! No more problems with open container laws!

Took advantage of jet lag and got a jump on the weekend this morning, installed LED headlights (lows) and finally got the hand throttle in there in anticipation of winch install. Also picked up an Antigravity Microstart XP-10 jumper battery, which I think will enable me to go without a dual battery, for now at least. Attached some pics..

Microstart XP-10: amazingly potent for its size. claim is to be able to start a 4 liter 6 cyl 30 times on one charge. I Amazon Primed it just in time to avoid my 80 towed after leaving the dome light on while out of town ;)

pesky plastic retainer was a bit snug for the bracket so my Leatherman's saw blade was just the right width to loosen it up
