I actually read a write up about this here on MUD. It's not impossible. When I get in front of a computer I will find it. Was it in the mod thread for giving constant power to the window switch? Or maybe it was in an LED thread. It showed exactly what to do to replace the bulb in the switch to LED so you could take from that how to just eliminate the bulb.
This is becoming the thread I refer people to the most :D. Didn't read through all 17 pages to see if it's in there but I'm pretty sure @treerootCO replaced his switch light with a blue LED.

I would like someone to donate a master switch to determine how to discount the switch light that causes the draw

Anyone with an extra switch?
I have an extra switch

You cant get to it like one would think. The are two wires on the switch that made some sense (to me) they would be for the lamp so I cut them and reinstalled the switch and nothing:doh: I believe the lamp is a inline LED otr the likes so one needs to dig into the assemble. I not willing to risk destroying mine.

I started asking the parting out guys for a donation for research:rolleyes:we will see if someone kind sole comes through
I think I found it. There are two springs under the switch top plate that touch the circuit board. By removing these two springs the "auto" light doesnt turn on. I tried it with and without springs to make sure. Now someone else should try it out to double check for 100% certainty. Beware that dim light and carpet are not the ideal areas to open up a switch.
See springs pointed out below.

Is the Air Switch Valve part of the EGR system on the 3FE? Anyone know?

Glad I could contribute to one of your modifications since I've been using most of them.

A friend told me I love my Cruiser too much. I just don't understand....

I need to do that too.....

Phil & Cimarron,
Are both of your "Auto" window switch lights staying illuminated all of the time? Mine shuts off after opening the driver door upon switching off the ignition.

They have done this mod so they can they have power to their windows even without the ignition on. When you do so it lights up the "Auto" light within the switch at the same time which creates an electrical draw on the battery. By eliminating the light bulb they don't have to worry about that anymore. :)
