Installed OME 861/862. Nice improvement on and off road. Sitting surprisingly level too!

Took it on a very infrequent highway trip and got her all the way up to 70mph, at which point my often-damaged and much-repaired driver's side front fender flare came flying off and was run over and demolished by a big rig behind me. (Guess holding it on with plastic upholstery clips was not such a hot idea.)

Well, guess it's time to try something different. Can't see spending money on more plastic ones when they take such a beating around here. Can't go flareless here because of state inspection rules. (Necessity the mother of invention and all that, so...) Gonna try rubber flares this time and see how that goes, JC Whitney has a sale on them right now...

Hauled some Dunkin Donuts, metal conduit to fix my batting cage in the back yard, and my dog. My cheapo Cabela's seat covers are awesome.

Man, I really need to get some seat covers, actually, a new drivers seat would be great!

Starting to baseline this beast now that weather is nicer and I'm driving it more. Changed diff fluid, transfer case, drain and add ATF, and replaced u-joints in rear drive shaft.

Question: I small vibe had at shift around 35Km/hr and really noticeable around 70km/hr. There was play in the spider bearing at the transfer case (rear shaft) and new u joints made the vibe less obnoxious (much quieter), but it is still there. Is there transfer case maintenance that I am looking at now? 1992 JDM, A442F.

@1shot1kill every time I see your rig I get jealous. Why aren't your running boards painted though? Just curious.

Thanks! I recently added them for the wife and kids - family friendly! I They will be khaki soon! ;)

Ok. Phew. I like the all khaki look. The running boards were sticking out like a sore thumb! haha I can't wait to do my truck. Did you use monstaliner (or similar) or was it epoxy? I can't remember.

Much less spectacular than last weekend! Just having breakfast while waiting for the ferry from Chile to Argentina...

Phh hose, I thought if I did the worst one first it would be all down hill from there. But most of the rest of the heater hoses look fairly pesky as well.

Ran the truck up the freeway for a bit, covered about 30 miles of dirt road, hiked with the fam, took the blue ridge parkway home and passed a very built up 80 on the way. No wrenching, unless re-doing my previously less-than-stellar zip tie engineering on the DS side view. Feelin good about road tripping the 80 800-900 miles here in a couple weeks.
