Well those sure turned out cool! I shoulda bought a curved bar, looks sweet! Thanks to a collaborative effort involving Booger Weldz (access to very large break) and Jcardona1 (use of his welder) I'm closer to a final design. Testing yet to come. I made several templates last week, and finally sent this version down to Boog. He got the 10g version back to me and we burnt them on last night in the dark at Jose's. I spliced into my old wire loom just to field test it tonight in the dark and check for vibrations and final tweeks. View attachment 952744View attachment 952745

Leave the stinger on man I think it looks sik!!! Thats a great looking bumper.I'm jacking stuff up as fast as I can! Tacked in the stinger last night but I think I'm gonna take it out

And instead put in a flat tube. Fab up some mounts for my light bar and have that be the "stinger". I think it'd look too busy with a hoop and light bar above/behind it

Went off roading with a few members of our local Cruiser club and had to finally try crossing this notorious section of water formed by a small creek. Tried to pull me from the front with the Bubba rope. Didn't work, so I got winched out from behind. No water was coming in until I was tugged with the Bubba rope. Engine stalled after I tried a few reverse/ forward manoeuvres, but I just dug myself in deeper. Engine started right up, bug was idling rough for about half an hour. Looks like I'll be changing some fluids as well as removing the carpets for a good cleaning.
You got stuck with a snorkel? How is that possible? Dizzy got wet?
Glad to see I'm not the only freak that doesnt sleep.... I didnt do anything for my Cruiser this week.. but I did stuff for other guys Cruisers. Does that count? The dizzy is the first weak point with 3 holes in the base way before the snorkel comes into effect when it comes to water crossing.

Is there a safe way of waterproofing the dizzy write-up somewhere? The dizzy is the first weak point with 3 holes in the base way before the snorkel comes into effect when it comes to water crossing.
