Went for an after supper drive. Moose, bear, elk, dear... Old bridge and road washed out (tempted). Waterfall coming down the cliff faces after 3 days of rain. Found a good campsite. Man I love living here.

Checked out the road to Heiko's trail after supper. Rough but easy in the LC. Want to head up there after work this week to hike up to the waterfall. After all this rain it must be good.

Finally had a chance to get back out in the woods. This is a side trail off of trail called Charlie's Creek in N. Georgia.

Nothing too exciting... But drove the 460 miles to bring the big gal to her new home. Had to leave her up north when we moved, did recon Friday and Sat. Let the rebuild begin...

Axle seal.

Wow, what a mess. Birfield soup is a disaster to shop cleanliness.

Worse, I snapped a stud on the drive flange. Grrr.

Nice man, glad she's back home safe and sound. How'd she drive on the way down?

Valve Cover gasket, spark plug grommet, pcv grommet, pcv valve, all new vacuum hoses, spark plugs, spark plug wires, distributor cap, rotor button. Got it all together and start it. Had this weird gurgling sound that I thought was just air in the coolant lines in the throttle body. The gurgling changed to a knocking/pulsing sound. Rechecked all of the spark plugs were tight. Now I noticed oil dripping down bell housing. Got an mirror and looked at back of valve cover and have oil dripping on top of new gasket. Valve cover was torqued to 108 in/lbs. Guess I'll be pulling it off to see if the gasket is still in place.

Did some landscaping with the Land Cruiser!
