Took it on my first wheeling trip (with it...been wheeling for a long time). Stood it on the back bumper going up Jones Knob at Beasley Knob OHV in GA and got to try out my Harbor Fright Winch ( it got the job done). Found out front locker is not engaging so that will be this weekends project. Next guy in line blew both ujoints in his front axle SAS S Blazer with a D30 and ended up going home on a trailer.

Wow, glad to hear that Beasley Knob is open, I enjoyed my time there back in October. Looking forward to going there again. Great picture.

they look great, love your rims

Thanks I really like the look of fj steel wheels and the new tires ride great!
Hope to see how they do on the trail soon.

Fixed the ABS sensor and passenger seat.

Then diagnosed a blown headgasket.

One step forward, a train ride backwards...

Started on the front knuckle kit today. My buddy was finishing up the one side while I worked on the other. Was installing the inner axle seal when all of a sudden I see this inside ...

Needless to say, it was impossible to get back on, so I ripped it out and have to order a new seal. I will be ordering two though just in case it happens again, lol. So now it's on hold until I am able to officially order a new seal and get it here.

The longer it takes to get it back on the road, the sweeter that first ride will be.

looked at mine sitting in the garage waiting on parts to finish my diffs. Not only are the ring and pinion toast, but the front/rear spider gears are chipped and need to be replaced. Ordered parts from @beno.

haha so true. Still have to do other work on it too so the wait is not that big of a deal I suppose. Just would have liked to be able to drive away today and not have to leave it on my buddy's lift. Still waiting on suspension also - that's gonna be a nice day when I have that done!

It's not but will be soon. I'm with the club ( www.gbr4wd.com ) that does the trail maintenance. We were getting it ready and getting downed trees cleared.

Since the last idiots they hired to put in water bars and take care of run off, erosion had basically paved it in many spot. New crew will be coming in and hardening the trails by burring 55g drum size boulders to mitigate erosion while leaving some challenge. With our TEA money and a grant we are getting some big coin directed to the location. Some of the trails are going to be reroute and some extended and looped back to other trails to get rid of some of the dead ends and create some bypasses.

In the bidding process for the contractor. It's possible that some trails will be blocked when they are working. There is also the possibility of short closures. Make sure you contact the local ranger to make sure it will be open when you plan to come.

Installed TJM 2.5" lift and love it. Also finished welding my front bumper. Still have to grind and paint it, but overall pleased with it.

Now that my CDL switch is in, I pulled my front driveshaft to rebuild it. Got new parts from @beno , but maybe I don't need to re-build it yet.... ;cP

Oil pump gasket, PHH, belts, and still have to finish up the knuckle service once I get the inner axle seal in the mail. Exhaust is next parts are already here.

Camped Black Mesa Oklahoma with 32 mph wind, flurries, and 21 degrees .
Took in Picture Canyon Colorado (missed the spring equinox by 2 days to watch the sun line up with the indian markings) and then inside the volcano at Mount Capulin New Mexico
