Swapped out a bad torque converter that wouldn't lock up. Only to discover upon the removal of said bad converter, that someone forgot to put an oring on the input shaft. That was probably the lockup problem all along.

Oh well, I didn't need that $340 I spent on the new converter...

I just got done pulling out my old radiator. 125k miles poorly maintained by 1-3 previous owners.

No sludge but was leaking from upper Drivers side.

Busy Weekend.

Started with this:

Then into a Dual Battery System from Blue Sea. Used a leftover piece of HDPE with 3 holes to bolt to the factory threads. Had to hollow out 2 sections for a few random protrusions on the fender. As a side note, the ML 7622 states in the documentation that you need to really protect any unused isolation wires. I had taped off 2 of them but left a 3rd with the factory solder/flux on it incase I wanted to use it later. Even though it was in heat shrink with all the other wires, it was still causing issues. (Remote wouldn't work properly, wouldn't combine the batteries). Re-taped all 3 and it works like a charm.

The new DHP came with very good voltage, about 12.8 is what it holds at. My other one that is 2 years old will hold about 12.55, though I did run it nearly all the way down by leaving a door not quite shut for a few weeks. But that's what the Blue Sea bit is for!

Intermittently worked on the removal of old OME bushings and replacement with OEM plus 2.5" drop brackets. Brackets required a bit of modification on one hole to get them to line up.

The small swingout allows me to open both when the tent is opened.

I'm still looking for a narrower roof box, in the 18-20" range. The one I have is 24".

I just let my crusher be a crusher. Pulling lesser vehicles out of unfortunate situations. Diggin the whole cruiser aura. What goes around comes around...when it comes around...I will be glad I'm cruisin!

As my 95 is new to me I was catching up on PO neglected maintenance.

Spark plugs, cap, rotor, plug wires, tube seals, painted VC (wrinkle red) and new VC gasket. Dizzy o-ring, set timing, oil change, coolant flush (gross brown fluid puked out of the block and rad) Navi system install, diff and transfer oils, trans oil, and some cleaning and lubricating of doors and weather stripping.

Long List....

Exploring old forts on the Olympic Peninsula.
