So far this weekend new o2 sensors. To go along with ujoints earlier this week and an EGR bypass. Had a CEL since I bought her almost 2 years ago and hopefully now it's gone for a long time. Also waiting on my Pfran led's to arrive in the next few hours so I can actually see inside my truck at night.

Let's see, what did I do to my 80 this weekend.....

Oh yeah, I BOUGHT IT! :D

I'm the proud owner of a 1997 FJ80 W/O lockers unfortunately, but it's only going on the beach to fish so it should be fine, no?

It's totally rust free because it was a California car up until 12k miles ago. The antique sage paint's CC is completely intact and restoreable - I've got a Porter Cable D/A polisher and all the required Menzerna/Meguiars polishes needed - and the leather seating has only one small crack where your butt brushes the edge when you get in.

I picked it up Friday at 4PM and then mother nature dumped a foot of snow on us! (Talk about perfect timing!) The truck walked all over it like a champ, even where the plows had piled it higher at entrances to side streets. This is my first 4WD truck and it was a blast driving it.

I've been lurking here for the past few weeks trying to decide whether or not to buy one, so this is partly your fault too. ;)

Great forum!

Welcome to Mud Jcruse
I was also a long time lurker even after I purchased my 94.

This weekend:
I did some ghetto storage and sleep area setup and fab. Got the fridge mounted and wired up.

Oh and I ordered a pioneer touchscreen receiver which should be here next week.

pics or both of you are lying to us!!!

I knew I was in trouble as soon as I hit send without putting a picture up.

Again this is ghetto and temporary until I get out west and see some setups in person. I am in georgia but getting stationed at Fort Carson. On my trip of there, I'm taking a month to camp across America with my LC and my dog.

Had some fun in the desert snow with some of my fellow club members on our monthly run. We found the Black warrior mine.

Welcome aboard!!!

Ill go ahead and dump my LED pics here. After getting home from the Mavs game tonight I popped these babies from Pfran in. Quick shipping, and the cost vs benefit makes this my fav LC purchase yet!

Now I'm sitting in my garage listening to the storms roll in working on the light switches in the doors. Great weekend so far!

Had to drive around in the 80, Friday and Saturday. A rare occurence of back to back days of duty. I can't ask for a better winter vehicle. Heavy, plenty of ground clearance, and stable.

You guys with your perfect rust free trucks are missing out. These things are great for snow covered roads! :)

Duratrac-ked

Made the switch from 285 BFG's to 285 Duratracs. So far, these are a huge improvement over the BFG's.
Also managed to loose one of the superbright interior LED's that arrived in the mail to the land of lost small parts that is my gravel driveway.

Had fun camping / wheeling with the Green Country Cruisers in Disney, OK. Only a little carnage.

Ha, thanks. It's from Conan the Barbarian.

Haha I just had to appreciate such a good movie reference.

And just to get things back on topic....I traced (fingers crossed) the cause or partial cause to my intermittent, rough idle only when warmed up.

Large intake hose split and cracked on the ribbed portion. Go figure. This forum is awesome. She's purring for now.
