Today it snowed, and it rarely does in southern NM, so even though I'm still running Michelin street tires I figured it would be fun to go out in the snow (that's my father visiting from Pennsylvania):

Wow...that looks like another planet? Where in NM is that?

It's in the southern part of the Organ Mountains halfway between Las Cruces and El Paso. On Saturday we took it into the Gila in 1 foot of snow (with street tires). Sadly I was too nervous to stop and get pictures of that.

Installed code3 take down LED lights on the grill. They came off my BMW motorcycle (sold it) and have been sitting in a box for the last 3 months collecting dust. LED bar would have been cheaper, but I already owned them. Also finally hooked up the turn signal and driving lights on the iron man bumper. Looks pretty good and the code3 lights are pretty bright for floods. Today I had 33x10.5/15 BFG KM2 installed. She is looking pretty good. Will post pics later.

You must not like to go camping in ur rig very much :)

Nothing better then a long day on the trail and a cold beer by the camp fire afterwards!

Oh no, i love to go camping in my rig! I was just jabbing at you all but there are so many easy ways to open a beer cap besides bolting one to your truck. I just find it a little different at least for me. Use the latches in the door jam, a lighter, a rock, the edge of a table, your teeth.....

^looks like the HDR setting on a digital camera^

Not exactly an HDR setting, but more like 3+ pics taken at different exposures and then combined. That gives you a true HDR photo. However, to get the effect of that pic, you also need to do some aggressive tone mapping. All of it can be done in photoshop.

You can get the same results in the posterize setting in jpeg mode on my Sony A65 an massage it to the desired results in photoshop. I took these with that setting on low not as pronounced. Cool shot by the way :)

Drove in the snow and tried to loose control to see what to do if I actually do loose control. I couldn't loose control, this cruiser is the best rig I've had in the snow.

If you couldn't lose control it wasn't slippery or you weren't trying.

I slid a little but it was a controlled slide

I do nothing with my built up cruiser! Here in CT. there is not much for fun spots to play around or explore. This is my fav. thread but it sure makes me jealous of all the pics posted from adventures in state parks and such. Can't wait for the upcoming season of wheeling with yankee toys.

Depo corners spruce up the old 3FE. I used the old trim that matches much better but fit was a little off compared to OEM...what do you expect for 60 bucks!

I spliced in a new tail light harness for the passenger side, where it looks like a dog chewed on the connectors or something and the PO engaged in a great deal of abstruse hackery to wire things up again.

I got as far as twisting the wires together and discovered that my portable soldering iron (as opposed to the big weller station that just stays on the work bench) has died.

So i can't drive my truck again until i either just tape over the wires or buy/borrow another soldering iron or extract my unwieldy weller system from it's spot and carry it outside.
