Awesome Pics!

Knuckle Grease

Filled my front driver knuckle 2/3 full of grease since it was pretty low. Made a few interesting noises every now and then when taking a hard right turn at speed. Grease was only about 1/4 full when I inspected it. Found a dry parking lot and threw it around after filling it and no more noise. May have to tear it down in the Spring but this should be good for now. Oh, also got some dirt/pebbles out of one caliper so it isn't making a grinding noise anymore. Mud is fun to play in but man, it gets everywhere and is damn hard to clean off in nooks and crannies.

Installed some fresh OME 850s. Had some tired 851s.

Replaced the thermostat. First of many things I'll do myself

Everything is done with a 12mm socket
1) Thermostat is on the lower hose (passenger side)
2) Remove the rock pan first
3) remove the exhaust manifold heat deflector cover
4) Drain the radiator via the lower radiator hose (not the pit cock valve unless you like tedious little fing tasks) into a cement mixing pan sold at Home Depot

Many thanks to Powderpig for the up front tips that I've summarized above that allowed me to started half way up the learning curve. Its been awhile since I pulled out the wrenches - but at least its still loosy lefty righty tighty

A buddy and I took our two youngest sons camping/riding from Thursday through Saturday at Lake Russell WMA, just outside of Toccoa, GA.

I bought it! :D

1993 Land Cruiser with most of the bells and whistles (lockers!, moon roof, leather, etc.) It is my first after selling my 2-door Tahoe a little while back, just got it this evening and am looking around to find some tech support (a couple items in it are going to drive me nuts if I don't fix them).

Drove down to Houston to visit family.
