Very nice. I have always liked the look of that headlight configuration.

I picked it up in early June, so in ~ 3 months I'm responsible for 10% of the use this vehicle has seen! It is in very nice shape, I'm very happy with it, shout out to Mark @ BraveAuto for finding it for me!

I got the timing belt changed last night, aside from the tensioner spring which I struggled with a bit, a very easy job.

I also swung by Princess Auto and picked up a couple of those USB things that Asutherland found.

Nice find! Low mileage, mint HDJ, I don't even want to ask how much.

That tensioner spring is a :censor:! I did the water pump and belt in no time. Thought I had it licked, until it came time to get that spring back on....

Headed to pick up my "new" 37" MTR's courtesy of Trailworthy Fab this a.m. I will post pics later.

Nice job. Most of them are very cheap looking but you made it very tasteful. Well done.

Sorry you missed out also. If you need any help tonight let me know.

On the way home the CEL did not return but that is usual it seems. I will take it out tomorrow and see if it come back.

I love only having driver/ passenger seats. I put in one second row back in may for a friends son who went wheeling with us. Been too lazy to pull it out. The cargo mat that Josh made is fantastic. Bolts down tight, two pieces, good grip ( bed liner ) but nice and flat which makes things easy to drag across.

I got the rotella decal from eBay. I just looked and it looks like the guy is out right now. No listing for it.

0) pushed out a dent on my upper rear tailgate (from the nose of a 2 man kayak coming down through my buddy's hands and hitting with a nice thump)

1) mounted my Ram-Ipad mount - works well. bought an offline-topo map app, so it should work with only gps signal on ipad, we'll see

2) did measuring and prep work and ordered new shocks (procomp thread was helpful)

3) un-mothballed trailer for fall-crawl

This is what I am starting tonight. Knuckles.

I de-flared my 80, I ripped off a flare down in Moab and tried to fix the flare but decided that it will eventually come off again.

Over the next couple of weeks I'll Rino Line it over the next couple of weeks.

More to come!

I gave my 80 a thorough drivetrain inspection, topped off some fluids, tensionned the squealing belt, removed the under-body spare, and pulled the running boards. Then i took my 7 and 4 year olds for some light wheeling. Listening to two little kids giggle, squeal, and shout "More! More! Do it again!" while the LC effortlessly claws the earth into submission is pretty satisfying.
Thus concludes week one of FZJ80 ownership. Can't wait for more.

Yesterday my son and I made it out to St. Anthony sand dunes for the day. It was a nice day and the big bus does pretty good. It's not going to win any races, but she sure is comfortable.
