Oh, it was very nice.Assuming no rust and good maintenance this is an amazing deal.
Glad it worked out for ya.I finally settled with my insurance about my stolen (never found) Collector's Edition....still depressed about losing it. After fighting with them I got almost triple the amount they originally offered. Now the search for a new one...or should I (here comes the blasphemy) get a 100 instead? I've been looking at 2005-2007 ones. There's no rush to this decision either way.
Lessons to be learned:
- Make sure you check your insurance coverages especially replacement values and comprehensive coverage limits.
- Don't let them tell you "that's all we can offer"...fight!
- Put a tracker of some sort on your rig.
I did not it looks very fragile and I didn’t want to have to buy a used cluster with different miles if I jacked it up. I will dig deeper if this doesn’t work.Do you break down the tumbler? Just curious how fragile the plastic is.

Its so nice it would be a shame to drive it. It should be put up there with you at the museum.
I love my 80 has much as the next guy but I don’t understand what the appeal is to spend $80k.
People spent far more on a McLaren F1. It can’t ever go where this 80 can. Toyota designed the 80 at its finest hour. I think all around it’s the best ever made. And if you have this kind of money then by all means.I love my 80 has much as the next guy but I don’t understand what the appeal is to spend $80k.
chump change to manyI love my 80 has much as the next guy but I don’t understand what the appeal is to spend $80k.
I think that's a good idea and one I strongly recommend now. On my next rig I am doing this 100%. Thank you for thoughts.Posting this up regarding the theft of a really nice 40th Anniversary CE here. I have an Apple Air Tag hidden in my rig to help me find it if it gets stolen. It's very cheap insurance. My wife likes that she can see where I'm at on the road on my to and from the trail, too. It's very easy to find a spot to put it in the back somewhere. YMMV. And I'm very sorry to hear about the theft of that 80, or anyone's. That is really crummy.
