Had a productive unproductive weekend.
Took the gf up to the mountains.
Broke a sway bar bracket and bashed my bumper. But she had fun.

Washed the 80 but in typical Arizona fashion a summer storm moved in last night and ruined my work, LOL!!!!
That’s better then on this side. Said storm took the power out till 1:30 am.
Fixed my shaking mirror. Swapped to my spare driveshaft.

Bracket to fix shakey mirror on FJ80
Commonly the mirrors bracket breaks on the outside rear view mirrors. Comes with stainless steel screws made for use in plastic that are a little longer. Tabs will need to be cut, if not already broken off. Marked with a L or R to designate side of vehicle, L for Drivers and R for Passenger...

Comet came home with a new wiring harness and the smell of being out of doors without any love for seven years. She runs under her own power but still has the same knock from when parked. I thought these rigs healed themselves! Engine knock, where to begin? White Knuckle sliders of course! Then a good bath so it rains for the two days following!! I plan on diagnosing the tick but first I have to install any goodies that have been in storage all these years. Just to make more room, ya more room.

Quick question before I get the A/C gauges hooked up - I’m too dumb for the FSM. Am I supposed to be doing this test in 86°-95° ambient temp? What exactly is the air inlet. The intake under the cowl?
