Decided to clean up the rubber on my mudflaps and repaint the lettering.

The LC had been sitting for a while and I finally sold the 4Runner. And sent the LC over to Scott @Cruiserhiggs at Avid Offroad. He took good care of the LC and got it running a lot better and installed my blue fan clutch too.

Today I did a drain and fill on the LC's transmission. Plus I greased the U joints, slip joints, the rear trailing arm bushings, and the johnny joints. For the grease, I used Lucas Oil's heavy-duty grease designed for heavy equipment. So far I am pretty impressed with the results. Time will tell how it holds up over time and abuse.

I don't see "Toyota Forklifts" on that list........

Just sayin' :flipoff2:

Wow What was the weight of the tent with the rack?

GFC 's website used to say 135lbs on it for the weight but when it shipped to the freight depot, it weighed 150 with all the cardboard. That plus the direct-fit kit for the 80 series and the lightbar it was probably 160lbs or so. Truck drives so much better now without all the weight on it. I got a Prinsu rack and a Swag tent from OZ until we get a pickup and camper. I just don't like putting useless highway miles on the truck if we're not wheelin at our destination...

For all my 3fe loving brothers and sisters out there.... got me an exhaust plug!! Not that kind you dirty minded fools!!!

Now that I think about it... I have 4 spare plugs if anyone in the Portland Oregon area is doing a desmog...

As the weather was actually nice for the weekend in FL, decided to tackle some randomness/ baselining things since my purchase a month ago. Installed a CDL switch (just need to jump on 7 pin mod), removed and baked the fan clutch to the sound of new 10k fluid. What a difference it makes. Then decided to take on the starter with new contacts. Definitely was going to be in trouble soonish as it appears someone had replaced 1 side at some point but not the other :bang: ; with the right side having a quite the deep groove worn into it. And biggest of all, removed my +10 damage multiplier. Really starting to get a feel for this great piece of engineering.

Took a drive in the Sierra's today.

Stopped at Sweetwater Mine, and cleaned up around the cabin.

On our way out, we helped a guy get his Hi-Lift working, and changed his tire. The rocks are unforgiving in this area. 😉 Good times!

Time to BBQ!
Are those rock rings aluminum? Welded to the stock 16s? Please share vendor.

Well, I got the Delta Pan HardBracket on! It made a :cheers::bounce::beer: awesome difference in the ride. If you have a 4-6" lift i highly recommend you get a Delta Pan hard Bracket! Drives like a stock Cruiser no more wandering or darting! The awesome change in ride was only overshadowed by.................................the PO or some:censor: put the link arms on with the bolt heads facing the springs, which turned a 30-minute job in to a 120 minute job as i had to take off both link bolts, They have to (*%^%#@%$#@$#) Match! Sorry my ADHD!, It was really fun to do in my Drive way with just me and a lot of bad language pushing the springs out of the way up and down to get the bolts out! They must have put the links on and then installed the springs. Also, changed all the vacuum hoses (even under the intake manifold). Tune up, changed PCV valve and hoses and spark plug seals, wire plugs, distributor cap and rotor. Cleaned the TB (it was nasty). Valve train looked new! Now it's idling perfect (it was up and down before 650-1,200 to 650) and purring like a Kitten and i noticed my acceleration has improved and it is running awesome! I would have gotten to the PHH new heater valve, and rear heater delete if the :censor: hadn't put the bolts on Link Arms the way he/she or whoever did that. At any rate she is coming together and once i get the PHH and the other hoses done i'm going to take her wheeling! Standby for pictures of the wheeling. I was to tired and in need of several adult beverages after the Link Arm bolts fiasco, i did not take pictures!

Locked axle on ‘97 waiting to be removed and rear axle off my ‘93 waiting for the ‘97 rear axle.

Did the same on Sunday as well. Mine was oriented the same way. I just dropped the axle till the bolt could be backed out between the coils :meh:

still an interesting time trying to line it all back up solo for sure. Iil language lube helped and its in now. Looking forward to the test drive after some drilling and tapping to remedy the above shock mount issue. I am getting some bolt to spring interference even with the high clearance option that may need a bit of exploring.

I did my starter last night too. Made a video though, I don't have any still shots. I noticed that one of the contactors was installed a little cock-eyed and was worn very thin at one end.

I live no where near Oregon. Would you be kind enough to post the part number and source?
