It's not the weekend (yet), but just swapped the front o2 sensor (rear tomorrow, ran out of time), and holy sh*t, night and day difference. I've owned this 40th for about a year and a half and this must have been bad the entire time (just now threw the code), feel like I just got a new truck! I went from standing on the skinny pedal and crossing my fingers on highway entrances to now casually stepping on it. Whereas it was struggling to maintain 80mph before, now ole Larry seems to have 90-100mph in him easily. Should note that I'm at 7500 ft elevation, so this issue has been intensified.

I hesitate to throw random horsepower numbers out there, but here's the data I do have via OBII BlueDriver plugin/bluetooth app (will add to this if I notice anything else, especially after replacing the rear):

Idle avg's at lower rpm 650-80 before / 615 after
Engine load value avg's lower 25% before / 18% after

Thanks to ih8mud yet again for all the info needed. This is one banana for sure; don't even bother with using any prying tools on the plastic connector, just push on the big ergonomic button and pull.

Bought the denso sensors off amazon for about $50 each (links for front & rear).

Cheers all!

She ran smooth as silk and didnt miss a beat!

First pic you can just see a cinnamon bear just sticking out his head just to the left of the pavement...

Was tired of the ARB fridge's 12v plug disconnecting by itself in my 80 and decided to fix this.. I bought a Blue Sea Systems locking 12v plug and is now a solid hookup.. I wanted to go with Anderson power poles, but I had already installed a locking 12v outlet in the back of the 80, so just swapped plugs on the ARB Fridge power cord...

Rebuilt my steering pump and steering gear, new a/c compressor, drier, and expansion valve, cleaned out the packed cooling unit.

Drove it the first time and instantly realized I lost a ball bearing during the steering gear rebuild... Dammit. 5" dead space in the steering wheel going down the highway is not fun.

Immediately ordered rebuilt unit from cruiser yard, got it a few days later and all is perfect.
Drives and cools like brand new!

Swap the black huo fan clutch for a blue hub . I'll see if that helps with low speed temps in the summer before opting for a new radiator

Went down to the Smokey Mountain Overland Rally. Met some great people and did some mild wheeling while down there and on the way back home.

How are they in the summertime? Breathable and comfortable?
They'll hold up great.

We have two 70 lb springer spaniels who's favorite hobby is rolling in as much crap (read: mud, dead animals, feces, anything with a stink) as possible and the covers have held up great over the last ~12 years. They even held their shape after dozens of cycles in the washing machine (always air dried though). We finally replaced our initial set of covers after 10 years, but only because the color was faded.

On the other hand, I've found out the hard way that these, like most things, are not puppy proof. Our 10 lb australian shephard puppy made quick work of chewing at the seams while we weren't looking :bang:

Making a mess with installing some airlift bags. They feel great!!
