If you run it too much the battery shuts down due to heat. Maybe thats it? I have three batteries on hand and just swap one out while the other cools. I changed the shocks on my 18 wheeler with the little ryobi impact.

Yep... that’s it. The battery shuts down, but it didn’t feel all that hot to the touch. It’s great for little projects, but I haven’t had luck with it on heavy things. Glad it worked fine for you!

This first time they were easy since the trailer isnt too old. I think next time, with more rust and age on them, I will have to break out the air tools.

I could have guessed for some reason you had a shipping container garage. You rule.
Yep. Its two 20ft containers welded side by side

Hey, my 23 YO in Berkeley is wearing the same hat, as a dad far away is there anything to worry about ?
I would be more concerned that Berkeley was poisoning my sons mind.

Only if the parents let it be poisoned but yeah I can see where some places in Cali can have a strong influence on a young mind when it seems to start at a young educational process now...that's too bad really.
Back to tech: (or specifically this thread) I did nothing to my 80 and have not since end of January and can't until May. I am in Thailand but I live vicariously through you all until I get back and get out on the trails again. ;)

Cleaned her up for a trip to Blue Ridge.. St. Augustine after that

Ah, the usual watering hole picture for the thirsty old girl.

You already know Q! Wonder how many pictures like this are here on MUD

Spent the weekend with my wife and two teenage boys covering about 500 miles of dirt. One of the most remote areas in the country. We were solo in my 80 and hardly saw another soul except when we made fuel stops. Perfect quiet weekend.

Amazing shots there!

Weighed the 80 at the local junkyard.

I have a spartan in the rear of mine but have had a similar experience. The supposed 'complete change in road manners' talk on here and many other forums has not been my experience at all. Outside of 1-2 loud bangs in tight parking lots throughout the time I've had it in the truck (a little over a year) I have not even noticed it in there. IMO about the best bang per buck mod available.
Got an Aussie in my 80 and agree the most bang for the buck
