I hope you post up play by play images after or during install. Ive yet to see it.

Hit the high point of OK at Black Mesa then explored some remote canyons in NE NM via dirt roads. Saw bighorn sheep, pronghorn antelope, plenty of birds, a couple owls kept me up for a couple hrs during the night, and some dino tracks. And no...they weren't mine.

What do you plan to do with the panhard?
Shouldn’t interfere with it. I may keep my cross link in the rear for protection, only moving up my current heim location up enough to not bottom out at full droop. Not reinventing the wheel, just double sheering my heimed steering and getting rid of my abs.

Retired my best mod to date ... My La Cucaracha air horn compressor finally died. Best $40 spent on the Cruiser. :D

Little more work on the rear bumper, couple sub par gaps, but itll be just fine. Getting welded from both sides.

The wing needs to be held up until welding, they sag from “only tacs” and no gussets. I figure itll weigh 150#’s when the swinger gets built. I have a little something planned for the swinger too. It will have more than one purpose.

Well, more cutting and welding ahead, i needed to move the frame mounts up too, bout 3/8” so i cut out new ones to do so.

Fixed my drivers side window. Window fell out of the track (metal base), which kinda sucked. Basically used sikaflex to sick it back in the track, which appears to be how the previous one was held in.

Also fixed my turn signal issue, anyone else have cracked bulb sockets? For those who want to get better at electrical troubleshooting, I made a video of how I diagnosed and repaired it.

My frustration at accessing my rear quarter panel areas final exceeded my apathy so I quickly added a couple of piano hinges on my KISS drawers while waiting on the Easter dinner cooking.
Just need to glue the carpet back down and happy days....

I felt the same way and ended up using 4 rare earth magnets at the 2 mounting points on each panel. Now I can just pop them right off when I want but they stay put otherwise. Good work.

Not necessarily 80's but spotted in Japan...the ones I did see couldn't get a pic of

Saw this too, thought it was a 40 from a distance. Pretty cool

Don't think I saw one personal truck driving on the road but looks like they're putting out a new Hilux

Installed the front half of my 2” Tourflex Suspension. Not enough daylight to knock out the back today... I’ll get to that after work tomorrow.

The DS upper shock nut is super hard to access with my impact gun (due to the brake booster and master cylinder... any suggestions on how to tighten that sucker down? I assume the top half of the shock isn’t supposed to turn..?

It’ll squat for a day:

Fluid change time of the year. This time I decided to give the Mobil 1 10w/30 a try.
Also gave her the annual wash and wax. Surprised just how nice it cleaned up.

Keep an eye for any new oil leaks, mobil one synthetic is a good oil but it has penetrating qualities which will cause older gasket material to weep, leak, especially 90's technology materials.

Rachet wrench in one hand and hold top of shock in the other. I have long arms so was able to do this myself. Others might need a helper. Easy either way.
