Decided to replace my rear rocker panel corners before the minor rust progressed out of control. The inner rocker area looked fine. A little more sanding and I'll topcoat it. I'll do the drivers side some other weekend.

Great job! It's cool you took the time to do this instead of letting it rot more. I have to do the same in numerous areas. I figured it would be cheaper and better for me to do the work instead of trying to look for a new totally rust free version of mine. Now I just have to find some donor vehicles or parts.

Very cool you taught yourself to weld , and did the fix. Congrats, learning to weld is on my bucket list. Can only JB weld at the moment, lol.

I figure if it lasts several years before rusting again I'm still ahead and will just fix it again myself having even more experience by that time. I can't imagine what a body shop would charge to do it. I bought a new Tundra in December so I have time to play around with the 80 now and give it some TLC. Only rust on it.

No kidding? Where at? I've only had it once in DM actually. I've been wanting to try it again. I'll add it to my list of things to eat when we go there next.

We went here to the Vung Tau Pho Grill owners were great and the Pho was perfect mid day goodness.
Lincoln Nebraska had the largest Vietnamese immigrant community in the US after the war. Which I discovered when looking for a place to eat lunch on our run from Chicago to Colorado Springs and Ruidoso New Mexico. Where we drove to the highest point in the Lincoln National Forest.

Update on the car: 1 oil change and Ive been saving maybe 100-150 a week on gas so thanks again for the deal!

You're welcome anytime man. I'm glad its working out for you.

sweet I just ordered a set of kings and think Im going to go the whole nine with the bumpstops. damn its expensive.

Nice, I only ordered the front for the time being. Wanted to see if they are functional for my needs or just expensive paper weights.
